Sat Feb 23 201317:32Dave Bush goes two scoreless for Jays
Dave Bush threw two hitless innings out of the pen to pick up the win as the Blue Jays bested the Tigers 8-3 on Saturday.
Back where he started, Bush is a major long shot to crack the Blue Jays' Opening Day roster after going 4-3 with a 3.16 ERA in 11 starts with the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate and spending some time in Korea last year. Bush went 10-15 with a 4.15 ERA for the Blue Jays in 2004-05 before being shipped to Milwaukee and turning in a couple of nice years for the Brewers.

Fri Dec 21 201219:58Blue Jays sign Dave Bush to minor league deal
Blue Jays signed RHP Dave Bush to a minor league contract.
Bush pitched fairly well for Triple-A Lehigh Valley in 2012, posting a 3.16 ERA and 1.23 WHIP over 11 starts before exploring an opportunity in the Korean Baseball Organization. While he's a long shot to crack the major league roster out of spring training, he'll serve as valuable insurance at the Triple-A level.

Tue May 29 201220:52Dave Bush has out clause
Dave Bush has an out clause in his contract that he can exercise on June 1 if the Phillies don't call him up.
Bush has posted a 2.61 ERA in 10 starts with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, so the Phillies might be tempted to bring him up in order to avoid losing him. He could conceivably take Roy Halladay's (shoulder) spot in the rotation, but it's more likely he'd be used in a long relief role.

Phillies re-signed RHP Dave Bush to a minor league contract.
The contract also includes an invite to spring training. Bush, 32, finished the 2011 season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley after pitching in the majors with the Rangers and at the Triple-A level with the Cubs. The veteran right-hander is a longshot to make Philadelphia's Opening Day roster.

Dave Bush has elected to become a free agent.
Bush signed a minor league deal with the Cubs last month and posted a 6.14 ERA over five starts with Triple-A Iowa. The 31-year-old right-hander was released by the Rangers at the end of June after compiling a 5.79 ERA and 23/9 K/BB ratio over three starts and 14 relief appearances. It's unlikely we'll see him again in the majors this season.

Bush was cut loose by the Rangers earlier this month after posting a 5.79 ERA in 37 1/3 innings. He'll report to Triple-A Iowa to provide depth but is certainly a longshot to make any kind of impact in the second half.

Making a spot start, Dave Bush pitched three scoreless innings versus the Tigers on Wednesday.
With the Rangers playing so well, Bush hadn't made an appearance in any of the team's 11 games before today. He got the start in this one in part because of last weekend's doubleheader.

Dave Bush is likely to start for the Rangers on Wednesday against the Tigers.
The Rangers are giving Colby Lewis the week off as he awaits the birth of his daughter. Bush has not pitched in a game this year and can be avoided for fantasy purposes. He had a 5.14 ERA in 14 innings this spring.

Thu Mar 31 201122:37Rangers add Dave Bush to roster
Rangers purchased the contract of RHP Dave Bush from Triple-A Round Rock.
Bush made the team after posting a 5.14 and 8/4 K/BB ratio over 14 innings this spring. The Rangers' pitching depth could be tested early, especially given Alexi Ogando's inexperience as a starter, so Bush will function as a long reliever.

Sun Mar 27 201112:42Bush makes Rangers as long reliever
Dave Bush has made the Rangers as a long reliever.
Making the roster means he'll make $1 million with a possible $1 million more in incentives. The 31-year-old right-hander was with the Brewers from 2006-10. He went 8-13 with a 4.54 ERA over 174 1/3 innings last season.

Sun Jan 30 201114:36Rangers sign Dave Bush to minor league deal
Rangers signed RHP Dave Bush to a minor league contract.
Bush will earn $1 million with a possible $1 million more in incentives, and the deal includes an opt-out clause if he doesn't make the opening day roster. He'll get an invite to spring training, where the right-hander could compete for a spot in the rotation. He would seem to be a longshot to win the No. 5 job, but if Neftali Feliz stays in the bullpen and/or Brandon Webb suffers a setback, a spot could open up. Most likely, he'll just give the Rangers some needed depth. Bush has almost always had good peripherals but so-so results, but he was pretty bad all the way around in 2010.
Wed Jan 26 201111:06Rockies interested in Bush, Lopez for depth
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Rockies are looking for rotation depth and have interest in Dave Bush and Rodrigo Lopez.
Neither would be counted on as a regular contributor for the rotation, but the Rockies want a veteran who can make 12-15 starts, if necessary. Bush went 8-13 with a 4.54 ERA over 174 1/3 innings with the Brewers last season while Lopez had a 7-16 record and 5.00 ERA with the Diamondbacks. They could probably get either on a minor league deal.

Tue Jan 11 201112:34Mets looking into free agent righty Dave Bush
According to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick, the Mets have begun looking into free agent right-hander Dave Bush.
Bush registered an ugly 8-13 record, 4.54 ERA and 1.51 WHIP over 32 appearances for the Brewers last season, working as both a starter and reliever. He might have a little more success in Citi Field, which tends to hold home run balls, but the 31-year-old is well past his days of effectiveness. No matter where he signs, the right-hander won't have much fantasy value.
