Mitch Stetter has announced his retirement from baseball.

Stetter tweeted out the announcement earlier this month, saying lower back issues will prevent him from continuing his career. The left-hander has accepted a coaching position in the Royals' organization. Stetter posted a 4.08 ERA with 89 strikeouts in 86 innings across parts of five major league seasons.
