Sun Mar 1 201515:54Rogers signed minor league contract with Rangers on Sunday
Rogers signed a minor league contract with the Rangers on Sunday, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reports.
Rogers has been plagued by injuries throughout the course of his career, and pitched a total of just seven innings last season. He will likely serve as organizational depth for the Rangers, but doesn't project to make an impact in the majors barring a rash of injuries in the starting rotation or bullpen.
Mon May 5 201419:52Mark Rogers released by Mariners
Mariners released RHP Mark Rogers.
Rogers posted a 3.86 ERA and 5/7 K/BB ratio over his first seven innings at Triple-A Tacoma. The 28-year-old has a long history of injuries but should get another shot somewhere as long as he's healthy.

Fri Jan 24 201416:47Mark Rogers inks minors deal with Mariners
Mariners signed RHP Mark Rogers to a minor league contract.
It's not clear whether the deal includes an invitation to spring training, but it would be a surprise if it didn't. Rogers was limited to just 22 2/3 rehab innings last season while battling shoulder and arm issues. He's always going to be injury-prone but has a nice arm and is worth a no-risk gamble.

Fri Nov 8 201308:22Mark Rogers to pitch in winter league
Mark Rogers (arm) will make his first start with the Bravos de Margarita in the Venezuelan Winter League next week.
Rogers was limited to just 22 2/3 rehab innings this season while battling shoulder and arm issues. He's a minor league free agent but hasn't ruled out re-signing with the Brewers. "We're in the process of fielding free-agent offers," Rogers' agent, Ivan Hand, said. "There's a lot of interest in him based on (his) 2012 (performance) with the Brewers. He's healthy now and ready to show what he can do."

Brewers transferred RHP Mark Rogers from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

Thu May 9 201316:08Rogers (shoulder) pulled from rehab stint
Mark Rogers (shoulder) has been pulled from his minor league rehab assignment.
Rogers had a rough 11.12 ERA and 1/8 K/BB ratio in 5 2/3 innings with Double-A Huntsville and left his most recent appearance on Tuesday due to tingling in his right arm. The 27-year-old has a long injury history and began the season on the disabled list with what was termed as right shoulder instability. He has been sent back to Phoenix for further testing, after which we should know more about the next step.

Wed May 8 201321:59Mark Rogers injured during rehab assignment
Mark Rogers (shoulder) left a rehab appearance with Double-A Huntsville on Tuesday after nine pitches due to "tingling" in his right arm.
The Brewers aren't sure what's wrong with Rogers yet, but, given his injury history, a pessimistic view is reasonable. "We're still working our way through what to do with him next," said Brewers assistant GM Gord Ash said.

Thu May 2 201318:56Mark Rogers struggling during rehab
Mark Rogers (shoulder) has allowed six hits, six walks and four runs in 3 2/3 innings over three relief appearances during his rehab assignment with Double-A Huntsville.
"Despite those numbers, he has improved," said Brewers assistant general manager Gord Ash. "As long as we're seeing improvement, we're OK." Ash added that Rogers has touched 93 mph with his fastball but has not pitched consistently at that level. The right-hander will remain at Huntsville for a while longer. His 30-day rehab window runs out on May 23, and it seems like he'll use most of that time.

Mark Rogers (shoulder) is set to begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday at Double-A Huntsville.

Wed Apr 10 201313:02Rogers (shoulder) to pitch out of bullpen
Mark Rogers (shoulder) is making the transition to the bullpen.
Rogers struggled this spring and began the season on the disabled list due to what was termed as right shoulder instability. He topped out at 92 mph on his fastball during a recent start in extended spring training and the Brewers are hopeful that his velocity will bounce back in shorter bursts. The 27-year-old is out of options, so he will eventually have to be added to the major league roster or exposed to waivers.

Tue Mar 26 201314:36Brewers place Rogers (shoulder) on 15-day DL
Brewers placed RHP Mark Rogers on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 25, with right shoulder instability.
Rogers has a 7.00 ERA in nine innings this spring and has showed diminished velocity, so he'll work on building his arm strength for the time being. The 27-year-old right-hander is out of options, so something will have to give eventually.

Mon Mar 25 201315:10Mark Rogers expected to open on 15-day DL
Mark Rogers is expected to open the 2013 regular season on the 15-day disabled list.
Rogers has displayed diminished velocity this spring and the Brewers want him to work on building arm strength either at extended spring training or in the minor leagues. Rogers has a 7.00 ERA in nine innings this spring.

Tue Mar 19 201313:13Rogers hopes to return to game aciton
Mark Rogers threw live batting practice Tuesday and hopes to return to game action soon.
Rogers has an awful 7.51 ERA and 1/10 K/BB ratio over six innings of work this spring and has also shown diminished velocity, so the Brewers have been trying to get him back on track. The 27-year-old right-hander is out of options, so the Brewers could be faced with a tough decision soon.

Tue Mar 12 201318:30Mark Rogers lit up Tuesday
Mark Rogers was rocked for six runs -- three earned -- on three hits and four walks over 1 1/3 innings against the Rangers Tuesday.
Rogers now has a 3.00 WHIP and 1/10 K/BB ratio over six innings this spring, which is probably bad enough that we can go ahead and rule him out for a rotation spot. The righty is out of options, though, so he'll probably stick around as a long reliever.

Thu Mar 7 201319:41Mark Rogers wild on Thursday
Mark Rogers walked three and allowed two unearned runs over three innings in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks.
He also gave up three hits -- including a home run -- and didn't strike anyone out. Rogers has now walked six over his first 4 2/3 frames this spring. The right-hander pitched well down the stretch for the Brews last year and is competing for a spot in the rotation. More likely, though, he'll end up in long relief.

Sun Feb 24 201319:30Rogers allows two runs to Indians split-squad
Mark Rogers allowed two runs over 1 2/3 innings in Sunday's split-squad loss to the Indians.
With the exception of Carlos Santana, Rogers was going against a lineup of mostly backups and fringe prospects, so it's not a good sign for his chances of winning a spot in the Opening Day rotation. More than likely, Rogers will open the season in a long relief role with the Brewers.

Sat Sep 1 201200:46Rogers defeats Pirates, shut down for season
Mark Rogers won his third consecutive outing on Friday, limiting the Brewers to one run on five hits over 5 1/3 innings.
He fanned five and walked two on the night. The Brewers announced after the game that Rogers would be shut down for the season, certainly ending his 2012 on a high note. The oft-injured 26-year-old finishes his season with a 3-1 record, 3.92 ERA and 41/14 K/BB ratio over 39 innings. He has certainly made a favorable impression with Brewers' management, and should have a strong chance to make the Brewers rotation out of spring training next season.

Sun Aug 26 201217:54Mark Rogers goes five innings in win
Mark Rogers threw five shutout innings in Sunday's 7-0 win in Pittsburgh, allowing just three hits.
Rogers walked three and struck out five in improving to 2-1. His afternoon was cut short by his 101 pitch count. Rogers hasn't exactly been stellar since joining the Brewers rotation on July 29, but has completed at least five frames in all six of his outings. He's the owner of a 4.28 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 36/12 K/BB ratio through 33 2/3 innings. He'll get the Pirates again on Friday, this time at home.
