Thu Feb 17 201112:11Riske impressing early on at O's camp
David Riske has been impressive early on in Orioles camp.
Riske has made just 24 big league appearances the last two seasons due to injury, but he's thrown back-to-back terrific bullpen sessions. "I'm a little surprised he's as far along as he is," manager Buck Showalter said. The 34-year-old appears to be a very early favorite to land one of the final spots in the Orioles bullpen.

The Brewers will likely activate David Riske from the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday, according to MLB.com
With Todd Coffey hitting the disabled list, the Brewers need someone to take his place. Riske's minor league rehabilitation assignment ends on Wednesday, so he's a pretty obvious choice. The veteran reliever is currently rehabbing from Tommy John surgery that cost him nearly all of last season.

Thu May 20 201015:56Riske moves up to Triple-A
David Riske (elbow) has had his rehab assignment transferred from High-A Brevard County to Triple-A Nashville.
Good news. Riske, who is currently working his way back from Tommy John surgery, has allowed five runs -- four earned -- over three appearances with the Manatees, good enough for a 9.00 ERA. All five runs scored in one of the outings, so he's been pretty solid otherwise. He has a chance to contribute with the big club by mid-season.
