Narveson was outrighted to Triple-A New Orleans on Monday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
The move was procedural in order to open a spot on the 40-man roster. Narveson's debut with the Marlins was pushed back to August after suffering a left elbow sprain in spring training, but in 15 appearances, he managed a 4.45 ERA, 1.088 WHIP, and 32:9 K:BB in 30.1 innings.

Narveson (finger) tossed two innings out of the bullpen Tuesday against Philadelphia, allowing a run on two hits and a walk while striking out four.
The appearance was Narveson's second since returning from a blister injury which cost him close to two weeks. Four of the six outs Narveson recorded Tuesday were via strikeout, but he also served up a solo homer to Darin Ruf, the seventh home run Narveson has allowed in just 25.1 innings with the big club this season. Look for the lefty to continue pitching out of the bullpen the rest of the way.

Narveson (2-1) blanked the Braves over 5.1 innings on Monday while surrendering two hits and two walks. He struck out three.
Narveson performed admirably in his second start of the season after six relief appearances. The southpaw was shelled in his previous trip to the mound on Aug. 26, when he was chased by the Pirates in the fourth inning after surrendering eight hits and seven earned runs. Monday's performance marked only the second start for Narveson since April 2012, and was cut short by a blister that Narveson suffered on his left middle finger. It remains to be seen if the injury will prevent the veteran from taking his next scheduled turn in the rotation.

Narveson was forced to leave Monday's start against the Braves after 5.1 innings due to a blister on the left middle finger, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
He'd held the Braves scoreless on two hits and two walks while striking out three, putting him in line for the win when he departed. Narveson had struggled last week in his first MLB start since 2012, so this comes at a bad time as he tries to establish himself as a member of the Miami rotation for the duration of the year.

After returning from a year out of Major League Baseball to put together fairly competent work over six relief appearances with the Marlins, Narveson got a chance to make a start, but if this game was any indication, he's not likely to get another one.
