DiFelice made it back to the major leagues this season after missing all of 2010 following shoulder surgery, but was shut down in late-June after renewed soreness. Now 35 years old, his future is very much in doubt.

Mark DiFelice was placed on Triple-A Nashville's disabled list Tuesday with shoulder soreness.
It's especially notable because DiFelice missed all of last year following shoulder surgery. It's not clear at this point how long he might be sidelined, but we would guess it will be for a while.

He gave up four runs in three innings over the last week. DiFelice returns to a 2.57 ERA in 10 games -- three starts -- for Nashville. Of bigger note to fantasy players: Mat Gamel is widely expected to be called up by the Brewers on Monday to replace DiFelice on the active roster.

Mark DiFelice is fully recovered from the shoulder surgery that cost him all of the 2010 season.
At least, that's what he is telling reporters. DiFelice, 34, inked a minor league contract with the Brewers in September and is hoping to compete for a big league bullpen job this spring. He registered a 3.66 ERA and 1.24 WHIP across 51-plus frames for the Brewers back in 2009.

Brewers signed RHP Mark DiFelice to a minor league contract.
DiFelice, 34, posted a 3.66 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 51 2/3 major-league innings last season and will finish out this year in a fall instructional league. He will head into the stat of spring training 2011 with a great shot at securing a spot in the Brewers' Opening Day bullpen.
