Burgos allowed one hit over seven scoreless innings in a game with High-A Brevard County on Tuesday.

Burgos is back in action after seeing his 2014 season cut short due to a shoulder injury. He is a long way from the majors, but he made six starts for the Brewers in 2013 and is still just 27 years old, so he will have a chance to get back to the bigs if he can stay healthy.

Burgos signed a minor league contract with the Brewers, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.

Shoulder issues have derailed a once promising career, but Burgos will return to the Brewers and attempt to recoup some value after being released by the club in September. The 27-year-old right-hander was limited to just four starts last season, and given the shoulder issues, it wouldn't be all that surprising if he transitioned to the bullpen in 2015.

Burgos was named the Brewers' top minor league pitcher in 2012, but he has battled injuries since early in the 2013 campaign, and the Brewers ultimately decided to give him his release.
