Doss will be released by the Jaguars, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
With their third preseason game already in the books, the Jaguars got a head start on their roster cutdown Saturday and released, among others, Doss. He was likely to latch on as a punt returner, but the Jaguars drafted Rashad Greene in this year's draft to be a punt returner and receiver.

Doss (ankle) has been placed on IR by the Jaguars, news4jax.com reports.

Doss will be out an "extended period of time" with an ankle injury suffered Thursday, J.P. Shadrick of the Jaguars Radio Network reports.
The extent of Doss' injury is uncertain, but he will likely miss at least a couple weeks. Doss was not in position to be a key component of the Jaguars' passing attack, but his absence will further deplete the Jaguars' already thin receiving corps.
Thu Jul 31 201413:25Tandon Doss: Hurts Ankle Thursday
Doss suffered an ankle injury during Thursday's practice, the Jaguars' official site reports.
At first glance, Doss' injury may be more than just an ankle tweak, and if he's forced to miss extended time, it won't help his chances of cementing a depth wideout/punt returner role with the Jags.

Tandon Doss is now expected to make the Jaguars final roster.
In the wake of Ace Sanders' four-game suspension, Doss moves up to at least fifth on the depth chart. He's also entering camp as the No. 1 punt returner.

Thu Apr 17 201414:02Doss not facing charges following arrest
Jaguars WR/PR Tandon Doss won't be charged with a crime after being arrested for disorderly conduct in Indianapolis on Wednesday.
The non-incident shouldn't have an effect on Doss' roster chances in Jacksonville. The ex-Raven is looking to crack the 53-man roster as a punt returner and reserve wideout.

Jaguars signed WR/PR Tandon Doss, formerly of the Ravens.
Doss, 24, has just 26 career catches for 428 yards and one touchdown through three seasons but did lead the league with his 15.6 yards-per-return on punt returns last season. Doss brought one back to the house. Ace Sanders handled those duties for Jacksonville last season but averaged a pitiful 5.6 yards per return.

Mon Mar 10 201415:22Ravens let RFA Tandon Doss reach free agency
Ravens declined to tender restricted free agent WR Tandon Doss a contract, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Doss would have been due $1.431 million under the low tender, a price he isn't worth. The 2011 fourth-rounder has caught just 26 career passes, and isn't an impact special teamer.

Sun Dec 29 201320:45Tandon Doss catches one pass in loss
Tandon Doss was caught one pass for no gain in Week 17 against the Bengals.
Doss entered the season with all of seven catches through his first two years. In 2013, he had a nice seven-week stretch in the middle of the season but was a non-factor on offense the final six games. Doss wraps up the season with 19 catches for 305 scoreless yards. He also contributed on special teams. Doss will be a restricted free agent in March.

Sun Nov 17 201320:20Doss catches three passes in Week 11 loss
Tandon Doss caught three passes for 37 yards in Week 11 against the Bears.
Playing an increased role Sunday in the absence of Marlon Brown (knee), Doss saw five targets, good for second-most on the team. Brown will be back next week against the Jets, so Doss will continue to be a fantasy non-factor.

Sun Oct 20 201320:06Tandon Doss has 2/35/0 in loss
Tandon Doss caught two passes for 35 yards in Sunday's Week 7 loss at Pittsburgh.
Doss is sharing time and targets with both Jacoby Jones and Marlon Brown. There's just not enough chances here for him to be anything more than a WR5 at best as the Ravens head into their bye.

Sun Oct 6 201312:20Tandon Doss listed as starter for Ravens
Tandon Doss is listed as a starter for Sunday's Week 5 game against the Dolphins.
Marlon Brown (hamstring) and Jacoby Jones (knee) are both inactive. That leaves Doss, who didn't even make the Ravens' final roster out of training camp, to start opposite Torrey Smith. Doss figures to rotate in two-wide sets with Deonte Thompson, and the duo's limited talent caps the upside.

Sat Aug 31 201311:04Ravens waive 4 players
Ravens waived WR Tandon Doss, S Omar Brown, RB Bobby Rainey, and released TE Billy Bajema.
Doss simply never got better since Ozzie Newsome made him a fourth-round pick in the 2011 draft. He was quickly outplayed by Brandon Stokley. The Ravens currently have only two tailbacks on their 53-man roster after cutting Rainey. Newsome figures to be active on the waiver wire Sunday.

Thu Aug 8 201323:38Tandon Doss runs as Ravens No. 3 WR
Tandon Doss was the No. 3 receiver in Baltimore's preseason opener Thursday night against the Bucs.
He didn't find the statsheet, but Doss entered the game in three-wide sets along with Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones. Fellow third-receiver competitor Deonte Thompson had one catch for five yards. GM Ozzie Newsome will continue to actively seek wide receiver help. His team lacks depth at the position.

Thu Aug 1 201321:15Tandon Doss having 'up & down' training camp
Ravens WR Tandon Doss has had an "up-and-down" training camp so far.
Per Ravens.com, Doss "at times" makes highlight-reel grabs but "has also made more easy drops than he would like." Doss is competing for snaps at Anquan Boldin's old slot position, where the Ravens lack appealing alternatives. We're still not optimistic about Doss emerging as a 2013 fantasy contributor.
