Bills CB Justin Rogers will be rotated back in at the nickel corner spot in Week 2.
Rogers was dealing with a bit of a hamstring injury late in the preseason and it lingered into Week 1. Leodis McKelvin had won the job out of training camp but after the Bills were torched by Mark Sanchez and the Jets last week, head coach Chan Gailey is opening the competition back up. They will see a lot of the Chiefs' Dexter McCluster on Sunday.

The Bills' official depth chart lists Justin Rogers as the team's primary kick returner.
It's a surprise in that most expected Brad Smith to be listed in the initial release. Rogers averaged 28.7 yards per return as a late season fill-in. In addition to special teams, he's competing with Leodis McKelvin for the Bills' starting nickel corner job.

Chris Brown of the Bills' official website expects Justin Rogers to win the team's nickel corner job.
Rogers appeared in 12 games as a rookie and is expected to see significant playing time in sub-defenses, with Aaron Williams and Stephon Gilmore the starters on the outside. Brown notes that Rogers was "among the more impressive" players in the Bills' offseason program, and has more slot experience than Leodis Mckelvin, Terrence McGee and fourth-round CB Ron Brooks.

Bills secondary coach George Catavolos has high hopes that seventh-round CB Justin Rogers will make an impact as a rookie.
"I think this guy might be the ... I don't want to say surprise of the draft," said Catavolos, "but I do think this young man has the make up intelligence-wise and physical skills that could be very beneficial for us this season." Rogers showed elite return ability and ball skills at small-school Richmond, but he has to get stronger at just 5'10" and 183 pounds.
