Pargo was waived Tuesday, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.

Elliot Williams will be called up from the D-League on a 10-day contract to replace Pargo (who was dealing with a back injury) as backcourt depth.

Pargo (back) will miss at least another week, per coach Steve Clifford, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Hornets were hoping to get Pargo back at some point this week, but he's still dealing with soreness in his lower-back. Pargo is without a firm timetable, but he has a good chance to see an uptick in minutes once he returns, as Kemba Walker (knee) is slated to miss around six weeks.

Pargo (back) may be available to play later this week, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.

He has missed the last 16 games with a sore lower back, but has resumed practicing and it seems like he may return before the All-Star break. Should Kemba Walker's knee injury end up being serious, Pargo could be useful in deeper leagues, but for now he can be left on the waiver wire in most formats.

With Kemba Walker and Brian Roberts on the roster, it will take an injury for Pargo to have any fantasy relevance. Pargo has accumulated career averages of 6.4 points, 2.0 assists and 1.4 rebounds a game, he's not worth drafting in any format.

Pargo has scored 11 points in all three of his games without Kemba Walker (ankle) this week, adding averages of 1.3 boards, 4.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.3 triples. He's only on the radar in very deep leagues and should only play minutes in the teens.

He did his damage in 23 minutes, mostly against a disjointed Bucks' second-unit, and this solid game isn't applicable to his regular season outlook. Kemba Walker had a slow night by comparison, scoring 12 points with four boards and one assist in 25 minutes.
