The Brooklyn Nets signed free agent forward Chase Budinger and guard Jorge Gutierrez on Monday.The 6-foot-7, 215-pound Budinger has appeared in 407 career NBA games (50 starts) with Phoenix (2015-16), Indiana (2015-16), Minnesota (2012-15) and Houston (2009-12). He holds averages of 7.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 19.7 minutes per game.Budinger, 28, was selected 44th overall out of the University of Arizona in the second round of the 2009 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons before being traded on draft night to the Rockets.The 6-3, 195-pound Gutierrez most recently played for the Charlotte Hornets during the 2015-16 season after NBA stints with Milwaukee (2014-15) and the Nets (2013-15). In 47 career NBA games, he holds averages of 2.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 10.3 minutes per contest.The 27-year-old Gutierrez, who began his professional career playing for Pioneros de Quintana Roo in Mexico (2012-13), has had four stints in the NBA Development League over the past four seasons, all with the Canton Charge. In 2014 he was named to the All-NBA D-League Second Team and was twice named to the league's all-defensive team (2013, 2014).

The Charlotte Hornets signed guard Jorge Gutierrez on Friday for the remainder of the season.The 6-foot-3 Gutierrez signed consecutive 10-day contracts with Charlotte on Feb. 20 and March 1. Gutierrez played in six summer league games and provided 6.5 points, 6.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.7 steals in 28 minutes per game.

Gutierrez has a unguaranteed contract for the upcoming season, and after the Bucks traded for Greivis Vasquez, it appears Gutierrez will only return if he can impress during training camp. The addition of Chris Copeland gave the Bucks 16 contracts, one beyond the maximum allowable.

Gutierrez spent time with both the Nets and Bucks in 2014-15. In 10 games for Milwaukee, the reserve point guard averaged 3.7 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 13.1 minutes per game.

Gutierrez began the season with the Nets, for whom he played sparingly in 10 games before being traded to Philadelphia in early December. The Sixers immediately waived Gutierrez, and he spent a month-and-a-half in the D-League before the Bucks came calling in late-January. Gutierrez, who played under Jason Kidd in Brooklyn last season, stepped in as the third point guard and saw regular minutes off the bench. In five February games, Gutierrez averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the floor. However, after his second 10-day contract expired, the Bucks opted against signing him for the rest of the season, so Gutierrez returned to the D-League. After making moves at the trade deadline, the Bucks opened up a roster spot, which they would keep vacant until early April when Gutierrez re-signed with the team for the remainder of the season. Gutierrez played in three of the Bucks' final five regular season games and appeared in only one playoff contest. Signed to a non-guaranteed contract, Gutierrez can work out with the team over the offseason but is not promised a spot on the 2015-16 roster. The Bucks would likely be interested in keeping Gutierrez around, but he's not a priority and will only remain with Milwaukee if the team has an open roster spot.

Gutierrez will sign a 10-day contract with the Bucks, CantonRep.com reports.

In his seven-game stint with the Bucks earlier this season, Gutierrez averaged 3.6 points (on 53 percent shooting), 2.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 13 minutes. In the interim, he's spent time with Canton of the D-League, posting 13.5 points (on 46 percent shooting), 5.1 assists, 4.4 boards,and 1.7 steals in 30 minutes per contest.

Gutierrez will likely move on after his current 10-day deal expires, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.

Gutierrez signed a second 10-day contract over the weekend, which is set to expire over the All-Star break. The Bucks were able to add Gutierrez by taking advantage of a rule allowing them to replace the suspended Larry Sanders, but with Sanders expected to return at some point this season, possibly after the break, the roster spot Gutierrez currently occupies will again need to be opened up.

Gutierrez signed a second 10-day contract with the Bucks on Saturday.

Since joining the Bucks on Jan. 28, Gutierrez has played in four of five games, averaging 4.5 points (on 54 percent shooting), 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.8 steals in 14.8 minutes. He'll remain with the squad through the upcoming All-Star break.

Gutierrez will move back to a bench role Wednesday against the Lakers.

Gutierrez had zero points (0-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 28 minutes in his spot start in place of Brandon Knight (quad) on Monday. Before playing 28 minutes Monday, Gutierrez had not played more than nine minutes in a game for the Bucks. He has a couple days left on his 10-day contract, but it is unclear whether he will be offered another contract.

Gutierrez will start for Brandon Knight (quad) at Toronto on Monday, FOX Sports Wisconsin reports.

Because Knight is dealing with a quad injury, Gutierrez will enter the starting five. However, expectations should be tempered, as coach Jason Kidd likely wants to keep the guard rotation intact. As a result, Jerryd Bayless should experience the sharpest increase in playing time Monday, and as long as Knight is out of commission.

Gutierrez signed a 10-day contract with the Bucks on Wednesday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Gutierrez was playing in the NBA D-League after being cut by the 76ers earlier in the season, averaging 15.2 points and 6.0 assists in six games with Canton in just under 36 minutes. He will provide the Bucks with some depth at point guard following the recent injury to Kendall Marshall (torn ACL), who will miss the remainder of the season.

Gutierrez, who was waived by the 76ers in December, is expected to sign a 10-day deal with the Bucks this week, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.

Even if he does sign, Gutierrez won't be a fantasy option and likely won't be a part of the Bucks' rotation. He did appear in 10 games for the Nets earlier this season, averaging 1.6 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists.

Gutierrez was waived by the Sixers on Friday, director of public relations Michael Preston reports.

Gutierrez was just traded from the Nets to the Sixers on Thursday. He has the talent to land on another NBA roster this season, although he may have to spend time in the D-League or overseas before that happens.

Gutierrez was not present at Philadelphia's morning shootaround Friday, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The fact that Gutierrez was not at Friday's shootaround may mean that he won't ultimately retain a roster spot on the Sixers after being traded Thursday. Coach Brett Brown indicated Friday that the team will announce the future of Gutierrez in the near future.

Gutierrez was officially traded to the Sixers on Thursday, Alex Raskin of the Wall Street Journal reports.

Gutierrez will join a Sixers roster that, in theory, should allow him to see more frequent minutes, after he appeared in only nine games for the Nets. However, the Sixers are already stocked with a bevy of guards, albeit inexperienced ones, so Gutierrez remains a non-factor from a fantasy perspective.

Gutierrez will likely be sent to the Sixers as part of Brooklyn's deal to rid themselves of Andrei Kirilenko, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Gutierrez has appeared in just nine games for the Nets this year, so the Nets deemed him an expendable piece when attempting to finalize this deal. He'll likely see more minutes for the Sixers, but that probably won't be enough for Gutierrez to warrant significant fantasy consideration.

Gutierrez has played in just four games for the Nets this season.

Gutierrez is listed below Deron Williams and Jarret Jack on the depth chart and consequentially doesn't see much time on the court. Unless injuries become a problem for the Nets, the 25-year-old will likely spend more time on the bench than on the court this season.

Gutierrez (Ribs) played with Mexico in the FIBA World Cup Games this summer.

Gutierrez bruised his ribs back in July and he wasn't able to participate in the NBA Summer League. He has since been played with Mexico during the FIBA games, and the ribs haven't been an issue for him. In Saturday's game against the United States, Gutierrez posted totals of seven points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 26 minutes of action. Look for him to be ready for the Nets' training camp and continue to provide depth at the point guard position.

Nets guard Jorge Gutierrez didn't return to Sunday's Summer League game after bruising his ribs in the first quarter.

He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, and even if X-rays are negative he seems unlikely to play Monday vs. the Thunder. In the Nets' first Summer League game, Gutierrez posted eight points, two rebounds and three assists in 16 minutes off the bench.

Jorge Gutierrez started for resting Deron Williams on Friday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting with four assists and two steals in 28 minutes.

Gutierrez profiles as a low-end play in 12-14 team leagues if Williams misses anymore time, but for now we don't know if that will be the case. In a deeper league, he's a speculative add at best.
