Sun Nov 2 201415:07Siva will play for Erie BayHawks of D-League this season
Siva will play for the Erie BayHawks of the D-League this season, Evan Dunlap of the Orlando Pinstriped Post reports.
Siva participated in Orlando's training camp but never actually played in any preseason games and was cut shorty before the regular season started. He managed to clear waivers and will play for the Magic's affiliate in Erie while hoping to receive a call up to the NBA at some point during the season.

Tue Jul 29 201418:33Magic agree to terms w/ PG Peyton Siva
The Magic have agreed to terms with free agent PG Peyton Siva, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Siva was waived by the Pistons last week and he's unlikely to have fantasy relevance in Orlando's backcourt. Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo will start in the backcourt, with Devyn Marble, Luke Ridnour, Willie Green, Ben Gordon and Siva competing for reserve minutes.

Tue Jul 22 201423:16Pistons waived Peyton Siva
Pistons waive G Peyton Siva.
He had almost no chance to make the team when the Pistons brought on D.J. Augustin, and they also drafted Spencer Dinwiddie. Siva may have a tough time making any NBA team next year due to his smaller size and lack of a jumper.

Wed Jul 9 201419:07Peyton Siva out with a hamstring issue
Peyton Siva will not play on Wednesday due to a sore right hamstring.
He's basically playing for a roster spot, so this injury really hurts. Siva hasn't done much in his time with the Pistons and the deck is stacked against him after the Pistons used their first pick in guard Spencer Dinwiddie (knee).

Tue Jul 8 201418:56Peyton Siva leaves w/ sore hamstring
Pistons PG Peyton Siva didn't return to Tuesday's game after leaving with a sore hamstring.
The severity of the injury hasn't been determined, but it's a tough break for Siva as he attempts to impress new coach Stan Van Gundy and secure a backup role in Detroit. Will Bynum already presents a major hurdle to Siva's playing time, and the Pistons reportedly have interest in free agent PG Brian Roberts.

Sat Jun 28 201410:16Pistons to decide on Siva by July 12?
Coach Stan Van Gundy intimated Orlando Summer League would likely decide Peyton Siva's future with the Pistons.
His contract would be fully guaranteed on July 12 for next season. The Pistons now have four point guards with Brandon Jennings, Will Bynum, Siva and second-round pick Spencer Dinwiddie. Siva will need to have huge summer league to overcome his odds at this point.

Sun Dec 8 201320:48Peyton Siva logs season-high 14 minutes
Pistons rookie Peyton Siva logged a career-high 14 minutes off the bench vs. Miami, finishing with two points, two rebounds, three assists and three turnovers.
His move up the rotation was sparked by the combined absence of Rodney Stuckey (knee), Chauncey Billups (knee) and Will Bynum (hamstring). That should say plenty about his lack of sustainable value.

Mon Nov 18 201300:40Peyton Siva barely plays for short-handed DET
Rookie PG Peyton Siva played under one minute during the Pistons' loss in L.A. on Sunday, despite the absence of both Chauncey Billups and Will Bynum.
Siva had a glimmer of promise to begin the season, when Brandon Jennings and Rodney Stuckey were both injured, but tonight's result neatly sums things up -- Siva is at the bitter end of Mo Cheeks' depth chart.

Tue Oct 29 201310:07Peyton Siva could start at PG Wednesday
Rookie Peyton Siva could start at point guard in Detroit's season opener on Wednesday.
With Rodney Stuckey (thumb) and Brandon Jennings (oral surgery) potentially sidelined, coach Maurice Cheeks said he doesn't know who would start in the opener alongside the other likely backcourt starter, Chauncey Billups. Cheeks indicated that he'd prefer to keep Will Bynum in his role with the second unit, so Siva could very well end up starting Wednesday night if Stuckey and Jennings can't suit up. The rookie out of Louisville had his ups and downs in the preseason, but minutes are gold in fantasy basketball, so owners in deeper leagues may want to put Siva on their radars as a short-term fill-in.

Sat Oct 12 201322:16Peyton Siva (calf) back for short-handed DET
Peyton Siva (calf) returned for the Pistons' short-handed backcourt in Saturday's victory, notching eight points with two assists and five turnovers in 15 minutes.
His return was well-timed given the absence of Brandon Jennings (wisdom teeth), Rodney Stuckey (finger), and Chauncey Billups (rest). The 6'0", 185 pound guard was the No. 56 pick of the 2013 draft and he's not currently on the fantasy radar.

Tue Oct 8 201312:11Peyton Siva still out w/ strained right calf
Peyton Siva (right calf) won't play in Tuesday's exhibition.
He strained his calf on Thursday and remains day-to-day. Though the injury isn't serious, the missed time makes it even more unlikely that he'll emerge as part of Detroit's deep backcourt rotation.

Sat Oct 5 201313:24Peyton Siva still dealing with a calf issue
Peyton Siva (right calf) did not scrimmage with the team on Saturday.
The rookie is an afterthought in the Pistons rotation and might not even make the team. Siva was great at Louisville, but his lack of size is going to be a tough obstacle to overcome in the NBA.

It's a minor issue for the NCAA champion point guard. Siva is buried on the depth chart and has no fantasy value.

Mon Aug 5 201311:36Pistons sign rookie PG Peyton Siva
The Pistons signed Peyton Siva, according to Louisville coach Rick Pitino.
Pitino was Siva's college coach with the Cardinals and the two had a close relationship last year on their title run. Siva is buried on the depth chart behind Brandon Jennings, Will Bynum and Chauncey Billups, so he won't see much playing time in his first year.

Sat Jul 20 201310:36Peyton Siva could be victim of numbers game
The Pistons' roster is at its limit of 15 players, which means Peyton Siva might find himself unsigned entering training camp.
The Pistons drafted Siva in the second round and he was expected to at least get a shot to make the roster. That was before the Pistons brought Chauncey Billups back into the fold, but GM Joe Dumars said the Pistons would still like to retain Siva's rights. A source close to the situation told the Detroit News that a decision could be reached next week.

Fri Jul 12 201309:02Peyton Siva (ankle) sitting out on Friday
Peyton Siva (ankle) will not play in Friday's Orlando Summer League game.
The ankle sprain looked bad on Thursday and he needed assistance to get back to the locker room. The good news is that he was in uniform for the game, so the injury is more of a short-term concern. Siva had a nice rapport in setting up Andre Drummond for alley-oops, and with Kim English now gone, Siva's chances of making the team in October have increased.
