Nogueira cleaned the glass at the Las Vegas Summer League. He averaged 7.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.6 blocks, and 1.2 steals in 24 minutes per game.

Nogueira recorded the second-most boards per game in Las Vegas, impressive given his limited run. The Raptors plan to develop Nogueira in their recently purchased D-League affiliate, but if he continues this dominance in training camp, the 7-foot Brazilian could steal a few minutes in the rotation. However, he'll need to wrangle minutes from Jonas Valanciunas, Bismack Biyombo, and Luis Scola, an unlikely proposition for the upcoming season.

Nogueira will be given the opportunity to develop in the D-League, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.

The Raptors are in the process of purchasing their own D-League team, and once that happens the plan is to keep Nogueira at the lower level as he continues to grow. Nogueira, 22, played in only six games this season and is considered a project player.
