In the rookie's debut, Yeldon should receive uninhibited reps with Gerhart out of the picture.

Gerhart feels the offensive system implemented by new offensive coordinator Greg Olson isOl better suited for his running style, the Jaguars' official site reports.

Olson stresses inside-the-tackle running, which Gerhart feels is his strength. Last season, Gerhart's first in the organization, the focus of offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch was largely on outside zone runs.

Gerhart rushed for 13 yards on four carries and had two catches (two targets) for 30 yards in Friday night's preseason opener against the Steelers.

Gerhart, who was brought to Jacksonville last season to be the team's lead back, but is no longer considered the starter. He pushed the pile forward a couple of times Friday and had a 19-yard catch on a screen pass. If he can make plays in the passing game, Gerhart could carve out a role for himself behind T.J. Yeldon and/or Denard Robinson.
