Pirates sent INF-OF Drew Sutton outright to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Sutton passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment last week. The 29-year-old switch-hitter is batting .254/.292/.393 over 130 plate appearances in the big leagues (between the Pirates and Rays) this season.

The Indians could choose to add him to the mix at second and third at some point within the next few weeks. He has limited upside, but he could contribute as a part-timer.
