Sun Apr 12 201516:12Franklin has signed with Nuggets
Franklin has signed with the Nuggets.
In his rookie season, Franklin appeared in 21 games, where he averaged 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.7 minutes. He has no fantasy value this season, and figures to be a depth player if he is able to make the roster next year.
Sun Aug 31 201418:00Franklin waived by Grizzlies on Sunday
Franklin was waived by the Grizzlies on Sunday, CBS Sports reports.
In an unexpected move, the Grizzlies will part ways with Franklin after just one season in which he appeared in 21 games. The San Diego State product is one of the team's few young prospects, so giving up on him after just one season is somewhat of a strange move. An athletic wing, Franklin should garner some interest from teams looking for a young perimeter defender.
Sun Jul 6 201418:45Jamaal Franklin struggling at Summer League
Grizzlies guard Jamaal Franklin is shooting 4-of-22 from the field through two games at the Orlando Pro Summer League.
"I'm getting good looks and playing the right style. I just can't seem to get the ball in the hoop," said Franklin. He'll earn a guaranteed rookie-scale salary for the 2014-15 season, but he shot just 41.0 percent as a rookie and has a long road to earning reliable minutes in Dave Joerger's rotation.

Thu Jan 16 201413:09Jamal Franklin sees 4th quarter minutes
Jamaal Franklin played nine fourth quarter minutes in Wednesday's win over Milwaukee.
Franklin's minutes were the first he's seen since December 28th, as the Grizzlies looked to infuse a fourth quarter spark. Said coach Dave Joerger: "Jamaal Franklin did a terrific job." Franklin may again see some minutes going forward as way to jump start the team, but his fantasy value is microscopic at the moment.

Sun Jan 12 201416:25Jamaal Franklin back up with the Grizzlies
Jamaal Franklin was recalled by the Grizzlies on Sunday.
He will likely be with the team for Sunday's game against the Hawks. Franklin doesn't project to be in the rotation even with Tony Allen out, so there's no reason to think about him in fantasy.

Fri Jan 10 201415:29Jamaal Franklin re-assigned to D-League
Jamaal Franklin was sent down to the D-League on Friday.
Franklin was averaging just 1.9 points in 9.2 minutes over 14 games for the Grizzlies this season, and the demotion should give him a chance to work on his game.

Tue Dec 10 201310:10Jamaal Franklin steps into Grizzlies rotation
Jamaal Franklin stepped into the injured Quincy Pondexter's spot in the Grizzlies' rotation during Monday's win over the Magic.
Franklin's 15 minutes Monday night were the most he's seen this season and he responded with his highest point total of the season (eight). The ailing Grizzlies brought in several players for tryouts on Monday, but it looks like Franklin should see around 15 minutes a game going forward now that Quincy Pondexter will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury. However, like Pondexter, Franklin won't be much of a fantasy asset unless he is somehow able to earn his way to playing 25-30 minutes a night.

Thu Jul 25 201317:20Grizzlies sign Jamaal Franklin to 3-year deal
Grizzlies sign Jamaal Franklin to three-year contract, according to USA Today's Sam Amick.
The Grizzlies took Franklin with the 41st overall pick in June's draft, which was considered an absolute steal. Franklin likely won't make an immediate impact, but he does have the kind of all-around game that could make him a starting-caliber player in the NBA eventually.
