Miguel Cairo, who replaced Joey Votto in the fifth inning, delivered a clutch RBI single that would stand as the winning run in the Reds 2-1 victory over the Giants on Saturday.
Cairo finished the day 1-for-2. He is hitting just .140 with four RBI on the year, and doesn't merit consideration in even the deepest of fantasy formats. Still, it was a very nice night for the veteran infielder who stepped up and provided a critical hit in Votto's absence.

Thu May 26 201116:28Miguel Cairo goes 3-for-4 as cleanup man
Batting cleanup for the second time in his career, Miguel Cairo went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored on Thursday.
Scott Rolen usually bats fourth for the Reds, and since Cairo was starting in his place today, Dusty Baker decided to plug him into the spot. It worked just fine even if the Reds did lose 10-4. At least, it was better than the only previous time it happened: Tony La Russa hit Cairo fourth on April 5, 2003 and his Cardinals lost to the Astros 2-1, with Cairo going 0-for-4.
