The Patriots, as one would expect, haven't provided any kind of timetable for LaFell's potential return.

Aside from adding valuable depth and experience to the team's wideout corps, it's fair to wonder if Wayne's addition may in fact be tied to possible concerns with regard to LaFell's progress.

While Brady's status remains up in the air due to a looming decision on his four-game suspension, LaFell will look to build upon his first campaign in New England in which he hauled in 74 balls (on 119 targets) for 953 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Patriots haven't provided any details, but LaFell was listed on the injury report with shoulder and toe issues during the team's playoff run, and it's possible this is related to the latter. Signed through 2016, LaFell figures to be back with a New England team that will likely have a similar receiving corps in 2015.

LaFell finished 2014 second on the team in both yards (953) and receiving touchdowns (7), and will undoubtedly play a major role in helping quarterback Tom Brady attempt to find space in Seattle's acclaimed pass defense.
