Wed Jul 15 201515:53Horst released by Dodgers on Wednesday
Horst was released by the Dodgers on Wednesday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.
Horst pitched well with Double-A Tulsa this season, posting a 1.64 ERA and 1.52 WHIP with 42 strikeouts over 38.1 innings. He did struggle with his command, however, allowing 20 walks over the same amount of frames. He's now a free agent, and will be free to look for work elsewhere.
Tue Jan 27 201520:10Horst signed minor league deal with Dodgers on Tuesday
Horst signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers on Tuesday, SB Nation's Eric Stephen reports.
The deal does not include a non-roster invitation to spring training, but with fellow minor league pitcher Robert Carson having his invitation rescinded after getting suspended for a positive drug test, perhaps Horst could take his place. Either way, Horst is a 29-year-old journeyman reliever who spent all of last season at Triple-A with the Phillies, so he is unlikely to be of much use in fantasy leagues anytime soon.

Fri Mar 14 201408:44Jeremy Horst among Phillies' cuts
Phillies optioned LHP Jeremy Horst, C Tommy Joseph, and OFs Tyson Gillies and Zach Collier to Triple-A Lehigh Valley; reassigned LHP Cesar Jimenez, RHP Ken Giles and INF Andres Blanco to minor league camp.
Horst had a legit shot to break camp had he pitched well, but he didn't (9.64 ERA) and the Phillies look to be going with Jake Diekman as their second left-hander. None of the other cuts had a real chance to make the team.

Fri May 24 201301:14Horst struggling mightily in Philly bullpen
Jeremy Horst has not carried over his success from 2012, posting a 5.09 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over 17 2/3 innings.
Luckily for him, Philly's bullpen depth is poor. A lack of attractive alternative options will only save Horst's job for so long, however, if he keeps getting lit up at this rate. Horst posted a 1.74 ERA over 44 games in limited time the last two seasons, which is probably why the Phillies have given him as much rope as they have.
