Kuzmic has signed a contract to play in Greece with Panathinaikos.

Kuzmic spent the previous two seasons with the Warriors but only made a total 37 appearances and almost exclusively played in garbage time. Golden State's depth in the frontcourt caused the Serbian to spend considerable time in the D-League and ultimately the team rescinded his qualifying offer in late July which allowed the center to sign abroad.

Kuzmic had his qualifying offer rescinded, making him an unrestricted free agent, Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders reports.

The Warriors hold Kuzmic's Early Bird Rights and can still re-sign him. During his two-year career with the team, Kuzmic played 37 games in the NBA and 57 in the D-League. The 25-year-old center played two games during the Las Vegas Summer League before returning overseas to train with the Serbian national team. He previously stated he wouldn't mind playing overseas, but that was out of the question for this upcoming season.

Kuzmic received a qualifying offer from the Warriors on Monday, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Kuzmic will now be a restricted free agent this summer, meaning the Warriors will have the option to match any offer he receives from another team.

Kuzmic (ankle) will be available for the start of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday, Diamond Leung of Bay Area News Group reports.

A sprained ankle has rendered Kuzmic inactive for each of the Warriors' playoff games to date, but he's now fully recovered and will be in uniform against the Rockets. He's unlikely to see much, if any, playing time, however, after appearing in only 21 regular season contests (4.4 minutes per game).

Kuzmic is getting some garbage-time minutes as Kerr copes with a dearth of big men. Once David Lee, coming off a hamstring injury, is able to go longer stretches, the need for Kuzmic becomes less.

Kuzmic has had some nice moments during the preseason while competing for backup minutes at center. He's got some offense to his game, but can be slow defensively. With word the Festus Ezeli (shin) has been practicing and is expected to play in games this week, the competition for Andrew Bogut's backup will heat up in the final week of training camp.
