Hummel agreed to a deal to play in the Italian League with Olimpia Milano, Sportando reports.
The Timberwolves extended and then rescinded the qualifying offer to Hummel, making him an unrestricted free agent. Hummel was extended a qualifying offer by the Timberwolves on Sunday and will thus become a restricted free agent, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Hummel played in just 45 games last season, finishing with averages of 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds over 17 minutes per game. As long as he isn't extended an offer by another team that the Timberwolves aren't willing to match, he'll return to Minnesota as a depth option behind the likes of Kevin Martin, Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett. He'll likely remain very limited in his potential fantasy output.

Hummel appeared in 45 games for Minnesota this season, averaging 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game.
Hummel returned for his second season with the Timberwolves after appearing in 53 contests in 2013-14. He was a rotational player for the first half of the season before breaking his hand in late-January. That injury caused him to miss two months, and he was able to return to the active roster for the final 10 games of the season. He was not overly impressive in that span, however, as he averaged 4.6 points per game and shot just 39 percent from the floor (22.3 minutes per game). At this point in his career, Hummel is solidified as a borderline-rotation player who's unlikely to make an impact from a fantasy standpoint. He'll enter the summer as a restricted free agent with a $1.15 million qualifying offer.

Hummel finished with 11 points (5-9 FG, 1.2 3Pt), 10 rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes against the Pelicans.
Minnesota has been decimated by injuries and Monday was no different. Chase Budinger (ankle) and Justin Hamilton (hamstring) both went down during Monday's game. Hummel may be the beneficiary again on Wednesday if those two aren't able to play against the Thunder.

Hummel (back) is questionable to play Sunday Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune reports.
Even if Hummel does play Sunday, it's unlikely that he will see enough time to be a useful fantasy option. It's more likely that he just sits out the final games of the regular season and focuses on next year.

Hummel (back) didn't play in Saturday's loss to Golden State.
It wouldn't be surprising if Hummel sat out Minnesota's final two games due to the injury.

Hummel (back) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game in Golden State.
Kevin Martin is dealing with an illness, which has afforded him questionable availability as well. Thus, if Hummel is unable to fend off his back contusion, Lorenzo Brown and Chase Budinger could be utilized more at shooting guard Saturday, depending on the health of Hummel and Martin.
Sun Mar 29 201519:34Hummel (hand) returned to lineup Sunday in loss to Pelicans
Hummel (hand) returned to the lineup Sunday in a loss to the Pelicans. He scored six points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 18 minutes in addition to grabbing one rebound and dishing out one assist.
Hummel had missed the past 29 games with a broken hand. Still, he doesn't hold much fantasy value that he's back. He's only scored in double figures once since Dec. 1 and is only averaging 15 minutes per game this season.
Sun Mar 29 201515:44Hummel (hand) will play Sunday
Hummel (hand) will play Sunday, play by play announcer Alan Horton reports.
Hummel has missed the past 29 games after suffering a broken hand, but even when he does return, Hummel likely won't get enough playing time to be of use in fantasy playoffs.
Sat Mar 28 201518:18Hummel (hand) questionable for Sunday's game against Pelicans

Hummel started dribbling and catching with his injured right hand Tuesday for the first time since he broke it Jan. 25, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
Hummel appears to be making progress, and still hopes to play again this season despite being behind the initial timetable. He hasn't begun shooting yet, which will likely be his next step before getting in on some practices en route to a return.
Thu Mar 5 201504:17Hummel (hand) still without update to return
Hummel (hand) is still without an update to return. He's recovering from a fracture in his hand which occurred late January.
Hummel's original timetable was estimated to keep him out 4-6 weeks, which would mean he's likely to return over the coming week or so. Still, he's averaging just 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds this season, making him an unlikely candidate to contribute in fantasy. His earliest possible return date would be March 7, when the Timberwolves host the Blazers.
Mon Feb 23 201515:11Hummel (hand) still expected to be sidelined another three weeks
Hummel (hand) is still expected to be sidelined another three weeks, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
Hummel suffered a fracture in his hand nearly one month ago, but apparently needs a few more weeks to return to action. While a healthy Hummel occupies a bit role for the Wolves, teammate Shabazz Muhammad's recent season-ending finger injury could open more minutes once Hummel is fit to play.

Hummel said Sunday that he expects to be out for four-to-six weeks with a fractured fourth metacarpal in his right hand, Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
The Timberwolves are saying that he's out indefinitely, while Hummel provided a more specific timetable. He suffered the injury during Sunday's loss to Atlanta, and his absence may lead to added playing time for Chase Budinger and Anthony Bennett (knee), both of whom have struggled to get consistent minutes this season. With Minnesota likely to keep using lineups featuring both Gorgui Dieng and Nikola Pekovic, it's hard to imagine Budinger or Bennett making much of an impact. The team also figures to get help on the wing at some point in the next few weeks, as Shabazz Muhammad (abdomen) and Kevin Martin (wrist) may return from injuries before the All-Star break.
Sun Jan 25 201521:06Robbie Hummel: Fractures Fourth Metacarpal In Hand
Hummel suffered a non-displaced fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his right hand during Sunday's game against the Hawks.
The injury to Hummel's dominant hand will presumably keep him out for an extended period, which could lead to more playing time for Chase Budinger and Anthony Bennett. Hummel was dropped from the starting lineup for Sunday's game, with the Timberwolves opting for a Nikola Pekovic-Gorgui Dieng pairing up front.

Hummel started at forward in Wednesday's loss to Dallas, but scored just five points with five rebounds in 25 minutes.

Hummel got the start again on Monday, but was held scoreless and attempted just one shot in 24 minutes on the floor. He added seven rebounds, one steal, and an assist in the contest
Hummel was coming off a stellar 15 point, 13 rebound performance Saturday against Denver, but put up a dud against the Hornets. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if he returned to the bench soon if has another abysmal performance. Also, Kevin Martin is nearing a return, which would also put a serious limit on Hummel's value.

Hummel replaced Chase Budinger in the starting lineup Saturday, registering his first career double-double, scoring 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with 13 rebounds and one block in 43 minutes.
Kevin Martin's imminent return nixes any long-term value Hummel may have, but if you were able to stream him in when the news was announced, yu would've have been pleasantly surprised. Hummel is averaging just 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds for the season and this outburst isn't something to get too excited about, given his likely limited opportunities moving forward.

Hummel (illness) will be available off the bench Wednesday against the Suns, Paul Coro of AZ Central Sports reports.
Hummel missed Monday's game and Tuesday's practice due to illness, but he'll be ready to go if needed Wednesday, along with teammate Chase Budinger. The 25-year-old hasn't cemented a place on the fantasy radar yet in 2014-15, averaging just under 12 minutes per game.
