Tue Feb 4 201409:27Josh Selby waived by Croatian team
Josh Selby has been waived by Cedevita Zagreb of the Croatian League.
The former Grizzlies draft pick only played three games with Cedevita before he was waived due to an injury and only averaged 6.5 in those three games. Selby is still only 22 years old so this may not be the end of the line for him just yet, but it goes without saying that fantasy owners don't need to occupy brain space worrying about Selby's fantasy value this season.

Josh Selby, who was recently waived by the Cavs, was acquired by the Maine Red Claws of the D-League.
This is more of a housekeeping note than anything else as Selby looks to earn his way back to the NBA.

The Cavs waived Josh Selby on Sunday.
He was acquired in the deal that brought Marreese Speights to town and he might have a tough time catching on with another team. Selby has no fantasy value.

Thu Jan 24 201314:08Cavaliers assign Josh Selby to D-League
Cavaliers assign G Josh Selby to D-League.
The Cavs acquired Selby as part of a trade with Memphis earlier in the week. Selby's been a non-factor since entering the league and at first we thought he might get a shot off the bench in Cleveland. Now that we know he's off to the D-League, his minimal fantasy value drops to zero.

Tue Jan 22 201309:34Josh Selby headed to Cavs in Speights deal
Josh Selby has been traded to the Cavs.
Selby has really been a non-factor since being drafted by the Grizzlies, but he should get a shot in Cleveland to be a scoring threat off the bench. Fantasy owners will want to see what role he settles into before thinking about adding him in standard formats.

Josh Selby will return from the D-League after a two-game stint, with rookie Tony Wroten going back down afterward.
Neither player is sniffing fantasy value right now, so this news is highly unlikely to impact your league.

Fri Oct 19 201202:12Selby plyas 13 minutes in Thursday exhibition
Josh Selby scored eight points on 3-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with three assists in 13 minutes of Thursday's exhibition win over the Bucks.
Selby's Summer League buzz is wearing off with each subsequent quiet night, and expecting him to put the junkyard dog Tony Allen out to pasture is a bit optimistic, anyway.

Thu Oct 18 201203:47Selby hits 3 triples in return on Monday
Josh Selby scored 11 points including three 3-pointers in 10 minutes on Wednesday.
Selby was dealing with an ankle injury and the Grizzlies gave him some with Tony Allen getting some rest. He has some range, so owners in deeper daily leagues might use Selby as a streaming option.

Mon Oct 15 201210:51Josh Selby expected to practice on Monday
Josh Selby (ankle) is expected to practice on Monday.
Selby had been sidelined but has begun participating in full-contact workouts with an eye toward being a full practice participant on Monday. If he can show us glimpses of what we saw in summer league, Selby has upside as a flier at the end of your draft.

Fri Oct 12 201211:57Josh Selby still out with sprained ankle
Josh Selby (ankle) is still not practicing.
Selby was reportedly close to getting back on the court earlier in the week, but he's still sitting and watching his teammates in training camp. After being named co-MVP of the Las Vegas summer league, we like Selby as a late-round fantasy flier so long as he can get on the court and remain healthy.

Mon Oct 8 201210:18Josh Selby ready to go for Grizzlies
Josh Selby hasn't participated in training camp yet due to a sprained ankle suffered in workouts, but is close to taking the court.
"We're hoping I can play by Monday," Selby said. "I'm doing a lot of treatment because I miss being out there with the guys. It's hard when you're watching guys working hard, running up and down the court building chemistry. I want to be out there building chemistry along with them." Selby has some breakout potential if he can get enough minutes, and we like him a late-round fantasy flier this season. He'll likely battle with Wayne Ellington for back up minutes to Tony Allen at shooting guard.

Sun Jul 22 201219:47Lillard, Selby named co-MVPs of Summer League
Blazers PG Damian Lillard and Grizzlies G Josh Selby were named co-MVPs of the Las Vegas Summer League on Sunday.
Selby led all players in scoring at 27.5 ppg on ridiculous 59.3 percent shooting. Lillard was second in scoring at 26.5 ppg, shooting 43.8 percent from the field with 4.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. Nobody will be sleeping on Lillard during fantasy drafts, but Selby could be a sneaky late-round pick with O.J. Mayo out of town.

Tue Jul 17 201220:06Josh Selby scores 35 in Summer League
Josh Selby scored 35 points in Tuesday's Summer League game against the Wizards.
That marks the high point total for the summer, and Selby certainly looks like someone who could break out this season - especially now that O.J. Mayo will be playing in Dallas.

Thu May 3 201212:37Josh Selby played ahead of Jeremy Pargo
Josh Selby was activated in place of Jeremy Pargo for the Grizzlies' Game 2 win over the Clippers.
The move was made in order for Memphis to have more quickness in the backcourt, but O.J. Mayo wound up playing behind Mike Conley as the reserve point guard.

Sun Apr 1 201200:40Selby recalled from D-League
Grizzlies recall G Josh Selby from the D-League.
Selby was called up on Saturday but didn't arrive in time to play vs. the Bucks. He's not worthy of fantasy consideration, and was only called up to provide emergency depth while Mike Conley rehabs his ankle injury.
