Starks ran the ball five times for 17 yards and caught three passes for 29 yards in Sunday's victory over the Rams.
Starting running back Eddie Lacy received just 13 carries Sunday, but Starks still saw both his carries and touches decrease for the third straight week with the Packers having trouble moving the ball on the ground. Lacy should see his workload increase moving forward -- particularly after the Packers' Week 7 bye -- and Starks will continue to play a complimentary role in the backfield.

Starks had nine carries for 28 yards and two receptions for 11 yards in Sunday's victory over the 49ers.
Starks averaged 21 touches a game over Weeks 2-3, but starting running back Eddie Lacy (ankle) was able to handle a bigger workload Sunday than he did the previous two games, so Starks was not needed for as many snaps, even coming off a short week. Lacy appeared healthy Sunday, and the Packers will have a full week to prepare for their next game, so Starks figures to be used moderately again in Week 5.

Starks finished Monday night's win over the Chiefs with 32 rushing yards on 17 carries and 19 receiving yards on one catch.
Starks' 18 touches surpassed teammate Eddie Lacy's 13, but the veteran couldn't find much room to run Monday night. While Starks made good on his lone target, a talented Chiefs' front seven limited his production overall. With another week for Lacy's ankle to receive treatment, Starks will likely see his touches scaled back, but remain decently involved as the Packers' No. 2 tailback in Week 4 against the 49ers.
Mon Sep 21 201519:57If Eddie Lacy (ankle) plays next Monday against Chiefs
If Eddie Lacy (ankle) plays next Monday against the Chiefs, he could split running-back reps with Starks, Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin reports. In Monday's media session, head coach Mike McCarthy said, "We could play 50/50 with Eddie and James."
Lacy will be consumed with treating his sprained right ankle this week, with Thursday providing the first window into his potential availability in Week 3. In the meantime, Starks will prepare to start after filling in admirably at running back versus the Seahawks on Sunday, when he recorded 20 rushes for 95 yards and four catches (on four targets) for 11 yards. If something approaching an even split of work occurs next Monday, owners would have to temper expectations with regard to Starks' potential output.

Starks gained 95 yards on 20 carries and 11 yards on four receptions (four targets) in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Seahawks.
Eddie Lacy (ankle) never returned after suffering an injury in the first quarter, leaving Starks as the only healthy running back active for Sunday's game. The Packers did use Randall Cobb or Ty Montgomery in the backfield a few times, but Starks otherwise dominated the snaps, serving as a three-down workhorse. If Lacy isn't ready for next Monday's game against the Chiefs, Starks could be in line for another heavy workload, with Alonzo Harris likely spelling him. Initial X-rays on Lacy's came back negative, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports

Starks had two carries for two yards in Sunday's victory over the Bears.
Starting running back Eddie Lacy was leaned on heavily in Week 1, and Starks was on the field for only 13 plays. He will not typically see many more snaps than that, but he did average average over six touches per game last season, so he should be at least a little more active in the coming weeks. Despite the quiet season opener Starks is clearly the No. 2 back for the Packers, giving him some fantasy value as insurance against a Lacy injury.

Starks carried the ball five times for three yards and scored a touchdown in a preseason game against the Eagles on Saturday. He also recorded one catch for 25 yards.
Starks got most of his work in the second quarter, as starting running back Eddie Lacy played through most of the first quarter. With most of the Packers' regular offensive starters out due to injury or precautionary reasons, Starks failed to gain much yardage on the ground, with the team as a whole struggling to do much against the Eagles' first-string unit. That being said, Starks could be a nifty roster investment for fantasy owners --- as a RB-handcuff in one of the NFL's most explosive offenses, the 29-year-old would be called upon to handle a serious amount of carries if an injury were to occur.

Starks gained 12 yards on five carries and 38 yards on three receptions in Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots.
Once again locked in as Eddy Lacy's top backup, Starks may occasionally have a big second half when the Packers are nursing a huge lead, but he's otherwise unlikely to get more than a handful of touches in any game. He is, however, a valuable handcuff for Lacy owners.

Starks ran the ball five times for 44 yards and caught one pass for zero yards in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.
Starks played a key role on the first couple drives in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game, but he was otherwise a non-factor in the Packers' offense. He signed a two-year with Green Bay last offseason, so it's likely he will serve as the team's top backup behind Eddie Lacy again in 2015.

Starks had five carries for 26 yards in Sunday's victory over the Lions.
Starks had a big run on the opening series of the game but did not get much going after that. He averaged just seven touches per game over the final three weeks, but remains the primary backup behind fellow running back Eddie Lacy as the Packers head into the playoffs.

Starks had seven carries for three yards and four receptions for 22 yards in Sunday's victory over the Buccaneers.
Starks saw a little extra work with teammate Eddie Lacy (calf) banged up, but he couldn't get much going on the ground or through the air. Lacy should be good to go for next Sunday, and the Packers will be playing for a first-round bye, so expect Starks to play his usual bit role in Week 17.

Starks had four carries for 19 yards and one reception for 10 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills.
Starks saw added work in Week 14 with the Packers ahead for most of the game and Eddie Lacy hurting, but he played his usual reserve role Sunday in a more competitive game with Lacy feeling and running well. Lacy made it through Sunday's game without setback, so Starks figures to play a minimal role again in Week 16.

Starks ran for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, adding two catches for 26 yards on two targets, in Monday's 43-37 win over the Falcons.
Starks did a good portion of his damage on the game's final drive, when he piled up 43 yards on five carries, led by a single 41-yard tote. He entered that drive with five carries for 32 yards, highlighted by a three-yard scoring run on the game's opening drive. Starks will be hard pressed to match this performance in Buffalo next week, as he's still the clear backup to Lacy, who had 18 touches for 106 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's win.

Starks ran once for two yards and had two catches for 34 yards in Sunday's victory over the Patriots.
Starks did not make a big impact Sunday, but he did have a 28-yard reception on a scoring drive late in the second quarter that put the Packers up nine points at halftime. His 36 yards were just one fewer than he had tallied in the four games leading up to Sunday's contest.

Starks ran one time for minus-four yards in Sunday's victory over the Vikings.
Starks received 10 touches in a Week 11 blowout, but he was a non-factor in a more competitive game Sunday, and has racked up just 37 total yards over his last four games.

Starks ran the ball eight times for nine yards and caught two passes for 17 yards in Sunday's victory over the Eagles.
Starks saw his most action since Week 6, but he did not do much with his extra opportunities. Starks averaged 5.5 yards per carry last season, but he is averaging just 3.7 yards per run through Week 11 this year.

Starks had five carries for 10 yards in Sunday's 55-14 win over the Bears.
DuJuan Harris had eight carries for 52 yards, all of which he accrued during the meaningless fourth quarter. Starks didn't do much with his touches, but he at least got a few before halftime, showing that he's still Eddie Lacy's top backup.

Starks ran the ball two times for five yards in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
The Packers ran the ball just 19 times in Sunday's game, and primary running back Eddie Lacy accounted for 13 of those carries, which made Starks a non-factor. Starks dealt with a minor injury leading up to Sunday's game, but with the Packers off in Week 9, he figures to be back at 100 percent for the team's next game in Week 10.
Sun Oct 26 201419:05Starks (ankle) active for Sunday's game against Saints
Starks (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Starks' minor ankle ailment suffered last weekend evidently will not prevent him from playing Sunday night. As a result, Starks should be expected to fill his usual complementary role to Eddie Lacy out of the Packers' backfield.

Starks (ankle) is listed as probable for Sunday night's game against New Orleans, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Starks has been running well as the Packers' compliment to Eddie Lacy, averaging 4.5 yards per carry. In the Packers' high-powered offense, even his part-time workload gives him flex appeal in some leagues, though the Saints have been pretty stingy against the run in recent weeks.
