The Toronto Raptors completed the trade with the Indiana Pacers on Friday, acquiring draft rights to forward Emir Preldzic in exchange for point guard Cory Joseph.Earlier this week the Raptors acquired veteran swingman C.J. Miles in a sign-and-trade deal from the Pacers for Joseph.The 6-foot-9, 220-pound Preldzic began playing professionally in 2003 and spent eight seasons (2007-15) with Fenerbahce Ulker (Turkey) of the EuroLeague. He played the past two seasons with Darussafaka (2015-16) and Galatasaray (2016-17) in the Turkish League.The 29-year-old Preldzic, a native of Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, was selected in the second round (57th overall) by the Phoenix Suns in the 2009 NBA draft. His draft rights have also been held by Cleveland, Washington, Dallas and Indiana.Joseph averaged 8.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists during 160 regular-season games (26 starts) over two seasons with Toronto. He averaged 8.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 30 playoff games.Joseph was the second Canadian to appear in an NBA game for the Raptors. He signed as a free agent in July 2015.Miles, an unrestricted free agent who spent his past three seasons in Indiana, joins Toronto on a three-year, $25 million contract. He averaged 10.7 points and shot a career-best 41.3 percent from 3-point range last season.Also on Friday, the Pacers waived forward Georges Niang. Selected by Indiana with the 50th overall pick in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft, Niang totaled 21 points and 17 rebounds over 23 games during his rookie season with the Pacers.
