Thu Oct 17 201311:10Malcolm Lee may not make Suns roster
Malcolm Lee had right hip and right knee surgeries in January and is still rehabbing the injuries, leaving his future with the Suns in question.
His right quadriceps still has not strengthened enough for him to be cleared for full basketball contact and his quadriceps will be remeasured Friday. "I thought I'd be back by now," Lee said. "It's definitely frustrating because going into the summer, I assumed I'd be back by training camp. It just sucks that I wasn't."

Malcolm Lee (knee) believes he'll be ready for training camp.
The Suns agreed to take on Lee's fully guaranteed $884K salary this season so they could move up and draft Archie Goodwin at No. 29 overall. Lee has had two knee surgeries and a hip surgery since breaking into the league in 2011. He's a poor bet to crack the rotation this season.

Fri Dec 21 201208:22Malcolm Lee (knee) done for the season
Malcolm Lee (knee) is out for the remainder of the season, a team source told Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN.
Lee may need microfracture surgery on the knee, and regardless of whether or not that's the final outcome, he will not play again this season. With Josh Howard (torn ACL) also done for the season, the Timberwolves will look for help on the free agent market, but this also means Brandon Roy (when healthy), J.J. Barea, Luke Ridnour and Alexey Shved will have less competition for minutes.

Malcolm Lee is out indefinitely after suffering what the team termed a "chrondal" injury in his right knee.
The Timberwolves said they will evaluate the injury before determining the next step, but this isn't the first time Lee has dealt with knee issues. According to beat writer Jerry Zgoda, the chrondal diagnosis is a degenerative condition involving cartilage damage. We're not doctors, but given the issues of his teammate Brandon Roy, this diagnosis doesn't bode well for Lee's long-term prospects.

Thu Dec 13 201213:58Malcolm Lee out of practice, out on Friday
Malcolm Lee (knee) did not practice on Thursday and will not play on Friday.
This should open more minutes for Alexey Shved, who started the second half of Wednesday's game in place of Lee. J.J. Barea and Luke Ridnour will see a small bump in time as well.

Wed Dec 12 201221:28Malcolm Lee (knee) out for game
Malcolm Lee suffered a hyperextended right knee in Wednesday's game and will not return.
Lee's value has been on its way down lately and Rubio coming back isn't going to help either. He played 21 minutes per game in his last three games and isn't worth owning in any league. Alexey Shved will start the second half.
