Williams has been suspended for three games, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Williams went the entire offseason, training camp, and preseason without so much as a tryout, but the lack of interest likely has its bearings within the three-game ban. With that settled, he's contributed a combined 30 receptions in 15 contests for the Buccaneers and Bills between 2013 and 2014, meaning the 28-year-old's NFL prospects may be slim to none at this point.

Williams (calf) has meetings lined up with six teams at the 2015 Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Because he was released during the 2014 season, Williams can sign with a team before free agency begins in March. Of course, he hasn't exactly made a good impression the past two years, and he's never shown an ability to get consistent separation. What he does offer is a combination of size and ball skills that can make him a useful weapon in the red zone. Regardless of where he ultimately signs, Williams will likely have to compete for a roster spot.

If you're in such a bind that you need to count on the disappointing Williams to salvage your fantasy week, we feel almost as sorry for you as we do for the good people of Buffalo that suffered through 5-6 feet of snow in the last week. As for Williams, he carries an ugly 8/142/1 line into the game and will work behind Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, and Chris Hogan, though we'll at least mention the team has been so bad in the red zone he may see a look or two there before the night is through.

Hogan is a nice big target like Williams, but seems to be more in sync with Kyle Orton and has had a few big catches the last two weeks.
