Tue Sep 8 201520:02Williams suspended for three games
Williams has been suspended for three games, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Williams went the entire offseason, training camp, and preseason without so much as a tryout, but the lack of interest likely has its bearings within the three-game ban. With that settled, he's contributed a combined 30 receptions in 15 contests for the Buccaneers and Bills between 2013 and 2014, meaning the 28-year-old's NFL prospects may be slim to none at this point.

Williams (calf) has meetings lined up with six teams at the 2015 Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Because he was released during the 2014 season, Williams can sign with a team before free agency begins in March. Of course, he hasn't exactly made a good impression the past two years, and he's never shown an ability to get consistent separation. What he does offer is a combination of size and ball skills that can make him a useful weapon in the red zone. Regardless of where he ultimately signs, Williams will likely have to compete for a roster spot.
Mon Dec 22 201413:46Williams (calf) released by Bills
Williams (calf) has been released by the Bills, ESPN.com reports.
Per the report -- Williams, who had been on the Bills' IR list -- is past his calf injury and is now free to sign with another team. That said, the chances of the wideout making a fantasy splash before next season don't appear great. In nine games for Buffalo this season, Williams caught eight passes for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Williams (calf), who was placed on the waived/injured list Monday, went unclaimed and will now spend the rest of the season on Buffalo's IR list.
In case you're in a 36-team league and were hoping the red-zone threat ended up somewhere for the last three weeks of the season, that's not going to happen. Williams' time with the Bills is probably over too, other than this paper move.
Mon Dec 8 201415:57The Bills have placed Williams (calf) on waived/injured list
The Bills have placed Williams (calf) on the waived/injured list.
The Bills acquired Williams from Tampa Bay in April for a sixth-rounder and even though it was probably worth the risk to get such a red-zone talent for an offense that badly needed one, Williams' performance gets a solid grade of F based on some attitude issues earlier in the season and a complete lack of production. Coach Doug Marrone goes back with Williams during the receiver's brief time at Syracuse, but we imagine there will not be a third time.
Fri Dec 5 201412:41Williams (calf) out for this week's game in Denver
Williams (calf) is out for this week's game in Denver.
Williams will stick with an unsightly 8/142/1 line on the season, 80 of which came on one play. His acquisition by the Bills, which came with some promise due to his red-zone skills, has been a gross disappointment.
Fri Dec 5 201411:45Williams (calf) not participating in Friday's practice
Williams (calf) is not participating in Friday's practice.
This will probably make the choice to use Marquise Goodwin over Williams an easy one for coach Doug Marrone come Sunday.
Thu Dec 4 201417:47Williams (calf) limited in practice Thursday
Williams (calf) was limited in practice Thursday, the Bills' official site reports.
Williams hasn't caught a pass since Week 5, so he's off the fantasy radar in any case, despite the name recognition factor.
Sun Nov 30 201411:35Williams listed as inactive for Sunday's contest against Browns
Williams is listed as inactive for Sunday's contest against the Browns.
Williams hasn't seen the field for more than 10 total snaps since Week 8, and remains without a reception since Week 5. Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods and Chris Hogan are set to lead the Bills' passing game, and with Williams inactive, Marquise Goodwin may see more work on offense as well.
Mon Nov 24 201417:42Williams listed as active for Monday's game against Jets
Williams is listed as active for Monday's game against the Jets.
If you're in such a bind that you need to count on the disappointing Williams to salvage your fantasy week, we feel almost as sorry for you as we do for the good people of Buffalo that suffered through 5-6 feet of snow in the last week. As for Williams, he carries an ugly 8/142/1 line into the game and will work behind Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, and Chris Hogan, though we'll at least mention the team has been so bad in the red zone he may see a look or two there before the night is through.
Thu Nov 13 201419:20Williams active for Thursday's game against Dolphins
Williams is active for Thursday's game against the Dolphins.
He's been the forgotten man in Buffalo this season, but with Marquise Goodwin inactive for this one, Williams will serve as the fourth receiver. We'll see if the Bills turn to the tall receiver in the red zone once or twice, given the team's struggles in that area of the field. Williams is far from a reliable fantasy option, however.
Sun Nov 9 201411:48Williams inactive for Sunday's game against Chiefs
Williams is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
That must mean the Bills plan to give Sammy Watkins (groin) a reasonably sizable workload. Williams has long been passed by Chris Hogan as the No. 3 receiver, and now possibly even Marquise Goodwin as the No. 4.
Sun Nov 9 201411:48Williams inactive for Sunday's game against Chiefs
Williams is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Though Williams is inactive Sunday, the Bills will have fellow wideout Sammy Watkins on hand, despite entering the weekend listed as questionable by the team.
Tue Nov 4 201401:52Williams missed Monday's practice due to death in family
Williams missed Monday's practice due to a death in the family, BuffaloBills.com reports.
In case you were wondering if Williams was in trouble with the coaching staff again, that's not the case and unfortunately he's dealing with a personal situation. The team does expect Williams back at practice Wednesday, however.

Williams is not among the team's inactives for Sunday's game against the Jets and it appears he'll suit up for the contest with fellow receiver Marcus Easley inactive.
Of course, Williams' production has been nowhere near fantasy worthy this season, and it looks like he's been passed by Chris Hogan for the No. 3 receiver spot.
Mon Oct 20 201411:58Williams did not have catch or target in Sunday's win over Vikin...
Williams did not have a catch or a target in Sunday's win over the Vikings and was on the field for just five snaps, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak.
Williams was active after getting benched the previous week, but hardly saw the field and clearly is not a focus of this offense, despite his red-zone skills. Today's lesson for all you readers: If your coach takes what's a second or third chance on you and you get scratched, don't go public with your frustration, or worse, let your agent start gabbing to the media. The lesson could be a long one for Williams, as Chris Hogan looks to have moved into the third receiver spot and had a nice game in that role. Hogan is a nice big target like Williams, but seems to be more in sync with Kyle Orton and has had a few big catches the last two weeks.
Sun Oct 19 201411:42Williams listed as active for Sunday's game against Vikings
Williams is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
He'll re-enter the Bills' wideout mix Sunday, with Marquise Goodwin and Marcus Easley both out, but a wait-and-see approach is in order with Williams until he re-establishes a role in the Buffalo offense.
Fri Oct 17 201421:38Two of Williams' teammates - Marquise Goodwin and Marcus Easley ...
Two of Williams' teammates - Marquise Goodwin and Marcus Easley - have both been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
That leaves the Bills with just four healthy receivers - Williams being one of them - and while someone could get elevated from the practice squad, all signs point to Williams returning to action following last week's surprise benching. That said, he has one big play all season and that's about all he's done, and there's a chance Chris Hogan may have moved ahead of him into third in the pecking order.
Thu Oct 16 201412:08Williams
Williams, whose agent requested a trade earlier this week, practiced with the scout team Wednesday and isn't sure if he'll be in the lineup when the Bills face the Vikings this week, The Buffalo News reports.
Coach Doug Marrone is not amused with the distraction especially considering Williams has a checkered past and he's not performing anywhere near his salary. Williams has an ugly 8/142/1 line while playing five games, and 80 yards and the score came on one play. He may get back in the lineup pretty quickly as the Bills need all the help they can get on offense, but he's about as close to fantasy value as the first-rounder his agent has hinted he's worth in barter.

Williams' agent has been given permission to gauge trade interest in his client, NFL.com reports.
Williams was a healthy scratch from Sunday's game following totals of eight catches, 142 yards and one touchdown through the first five games this season. However, given Williams' unhappiness with his role as the Bills' No. 3 receiver, his agent has requested a trade elsewhere. Although Buffalo is not actively shopping Williams, the team will reportedly do its due diligence by listening to any potential interest the wideout garners.
