Mon Oct 12 201517:10The Patriots reportedly worked out Nicks
The Patriots reportedly worked out Nicks, ESPN's Field Yates reports.
Per the report, Nicks "continues making the workout rounds," so it doesn't appear as though as a signing is imminent here. As wideout injuries mount around the league, however, it wouldn't surprise us to see the 27-year-old Nicks (who played for the Colts in 2014) catch on with another NFL franchise sooner rather than later.
Tue Sep 29 201509:58Nicks will work out for Giants on Tuesday
Nicks will work out for the Giants on Tuesday, ESPN's Josina Anderson reports.
Nicks doesn't have much left in the tank, but even with Victor Cruz (calf) hoping to return this week, the Giants are sorely lacking in depth at wide receiver. If Nicks ends up signing with his former team, which doesn't seem too likely, he'll only be fourth or fifth on the depth chart.
Sat Sep 5 201514:53Hakeem Nicks: (Leg) Released By Titans
Nicks (leg) was released by the Titans on Saturday, TitanInsider.com's Terry McCormick reports.
Nicks hoped to push Harry Douglas for a starting job, but Douglas and Kendall Wright emerged as the clear Week 1 starters, with Dorial Green-Beckham and Justin Hunter providing some big-play ability (and plenty of size) off the bench. Nicks may get another chance because of name recognition, but at this point in his career, he's a borderline NFL talent who doesn't contribute on special teams.
Fri Aug 28 201523:58Nicks suffered minor leg injury in Friday's game
Nicks suffered a minor leg injury in Friday's game, The Tennessean's John Glennon reports.
He limped off the field after making a catch in the preseason matchup against the Chiefs and did not return. Nicks had two catches for 19 yards before suffering the injury. His status should be updated prior to Thursday's preseason game, but it does not sound like anything serious enough for him to be held out of the first regular season game.

Nicks was a starting wide receiver in Friday night's preseason opener against Atlanta, the Titans' official site reports.
Nicks was not targeted in the game, but he figures to be part of the mix as the Titans attempt to find wideouts who have the best chemistry with rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Nicks and Justin Hunter are listed as the second-team wide receivers on the Titans' initial depth chart, the team's official website reports.
Kendall Wright and Harry Douglas are the starters, but Nicks or Hunter could still overtake Douglas before the beginning of the season. Rookie Dorial Green-Beckham, who is listed with the third team, is also a candidate to eventually earn a significant role in the offense. The Titans don't have any proven stars at the position, but their solid depth may allow for a rotation behind Wright. The team's No. 2 receiver won't necessarily get the kind of snaps and targets that are typically associated with such a role.

Nicks left Saturday's practice with cramps but is expected to return per usual Sunday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
Nicks is already coming off a disappointing season due to a recurring foot injury, so his trouble with cramps Saturday should add a bit of skepticism to his already weakened value this coming season. Nevertheless, his full participation in Sunday's practice is expected and he'll likely have the issue sorted out well before the Titans' first preseason game against the Falcons on Aug. 14.
Fri Jul 31 201512:54Nicks played with first team at camp Friday
Nicks played with the first team at camp Friday, John Glennon of the Tennessean reports.
The 27-year-old receiver spent an ineffective 2014 season buried deep down the Colts depth chart, but he has edged out Harry Douglas and Justin Hunter for reps with rookie quarterback Mariota at the onset of camp. It remains to be seen whether Nicks can hold on to his edge over most of Tennessee's deep receiving corps, but he could return to fantasy-relevance in standard leagues if he develops into Mariota's favorite target.
Mon Jul 27 201516:40Nicks spent last week working out with Titans rookie quarterback...
Nicks spent the last week working out with Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota, ESPN.com reports.
The veteran receiver realizes building a rapport with the team's projected starter is key to earning playing time with the Titans and it's encouraging to see him get a head start in that department. Nicks' best days are behind him, but Justin Hunter's legal troubles have opened up a potential opportunity for the former Giant to slide into a number three receiver role in Tennessee.
Fri Apr 24 201514:01Hakeem Nicks: Signs With Titans
Nicks agreed to a one-year contract with the Titans on Friday, ESPN's Paul Kuharsky reports.
Nicks will join a wideout corps that includes Kendall Wright, Justin Hunter and Harry Douglas, making a major resurgence unlikely for the 27-year-old former Giant. More important than the competition at his position, Nicks consistently struggles to separate from defensive backs, as he's one of the slower wide receivers in the league. He caught 38-of-70 targets for 405 yards and four touchdowns with the Colts last season, and there's little reason to expect much more in 2015.
Fri Apr 24 201513:04Nicks expected to sign with Titans
Nicks is expected to sign with the Titans, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports.
Nicks visited with the Titans earlier this week, and other interested teams have apparently been told that he'll sign with Tennessee. While the Titans lack a proven top-notch wideout, they do already have Kendall Wright, Justin Hunter and Harry Douglas on the roster. It thus seems unlikely that Nicks will earn an every-down role, and he may just be the No. 4 receiver in a questionable offense.
Mon Apr 13 201520:57Nicks visited with Titans on Monday
Nicks visited with the Titans on Monday, The Tennessean reports.
Nicks was released in March by Indianapolis, for whom he caught 38 balls for 405 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games (six starts) in 2014. The six-year veteran has also visited with the 49ers during the offseason. Tennessee added veteran wideout Harry Douglas early in free agency to join returnees Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter, but there's certainly room for more.
Mon Mar 30 201515:45Nicks will make free agent visit with 49ers this week
Nicks will make a free agent visit with the 49ers this week, ESPN reports.
Nicks managed a career-low 38 catches for 405 yards in a reduced role during his only season with the Colts last year. However, in playing 16 games last term, Nicks turned in the first complete season across his six-year career thus far. Although his upside remains limited by diminished explosiveness, Nicks could add decent depth behind top options Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin for the 49ers next season, should talks progress into a contract signing.

Nicks had nine catches for 72 yards in Sunday's 42-7 loss to the Cowboys. He was targeted a team-high 11 times.
With T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) inactive, the Colts turned their focus to Hakeem Nicks, resulting in season highs in both receptions and yards. With a first-round bye now out of reach for Indianapolis, the Colts may consider resting Hilton again to get him fresh for the playoffs, which could lead to another game of increased opportunities for Nicks.

Nicks had two receptions for 44 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown, in Sunday's win over Houston.
It was a surprising performance since Nicks had just one catch the previous three games and seemed to be stuck on the bench behind Donte Moncrief. Nicks still played fewer snaps on offense than Moncrief (36 to 21) and Moncrief had four targets, so it may not indicate a big reversal of playing time.

Nicks did not have a reception and was targeted just two times in Sunday's win over Cleveland.
Nicks played just 18 snaps on offense as he's fallen far behind Donte Moncrief (who played 50 snaps on offense) for the third receiver role.

Nicks did not have a reception or a target and played just 17 snaps on offense in Sunday's win over Washington.
Nicks has been passed by Donte Moncrief as the third receiver. After Moncrief had 134 yards receiving and two long touchdowns, it's hard to see Nicks having a large role on the offense the rest of the season barring injury.

Nicks had one reception for 16 yards and was targeted just once in Sunday's win over Jacksonville.
Nicks played fewer snaps than rookie Donte Moncrief (30 to 28), which isn't a good sign. The two receivers have been trading off playing time, but neither can be counted on for consistent production as the third or fourth receiver in the Indy offense.

Nicks caught 2-of-5 targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 42-20 loss to the Patriots.
Nicks caught a fade pass for a 10-yard touchdown in the second quarter, but he didn't do anything else of note. He has yet to top five receptions or 50 yards in a single game this season, despite suiting up for each of the Colts' 10 contests.

Nicks caught 3-of-4 targets for 44 yards in Monday's 40-24 win over the Giants.
Nicks got revenge on his former team in the form of a victory, but he once again didn't do anything to make the Giants regret letting him go. He failed to make the most of Reggie Wayne's absence, and with Wayne now back in tow, a performance like Monday's is toward the high end of what can be expected from Nicks on a weekly basis.
