Yankees purchased the contract of RHP D.J. Mitchell from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
A former outfielder from his college days, Mitchell doesn't have much upside but has a nice minor league track record, having held a 3.28 ERA over three seasons, including a 3.18 mark at Triple-A in 2011.
