Shaquille O'Neal has sold his 3,904 square foot home near Orlando, FL to a man named Yves Paul Demesmin for $10.00 dollars.
Yes, the decimal point is in the correct place, Shaq just sold a mansion for $10 bucks. According to public records Shaq bought the home for $235,000 in 2012. Shaq has not made any official comment on the sale.

Mon Sep 23 201311:07Shaquille O'Neal buys a piece of the Kings
Shaquille O'Neal will be announced as a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
It's somewhat ironic that Shaq bought a piece of the Kings, the team he memorably battled in the playoffs for years, and defeated in the 2002 Western Conference Finals. Shaq is too loquacious to be out of the headlines for long, and he's sure to have some 'words of wisdom' for DeMarcus Cousins. Former NBA star Mitch Richmond is also part of the Kings' ownership group, and Chris Mullin is a consultant for majority owner Vivek Ranadive.

Sun Sep 9 201213:43Shaq denies plan to play in Mexican league
Shaquille O'Neal said there is "no truth" to the rumor that he might play a few games in the Mexican Basketball League this summer.
Shaq does sound open to the idea, however, saying, "We could talk, but nobody has contacted me." He's spent his summer overseeing his business empire (including 55 Five Guys burger joints) and a legitimate return to the court isn't going to happen -- if he does play in the MBL, it will be little more than a publicity stunt.

Wed Sep 5 201216:49Shaq to play in Mexican Basketball League?
Shaquille O'Neal could play one or two games in the 2012-13 Mexican Basketball League with Fuerza Regia, team president Sergio Ganem said.
O'Neal is in negotiations with the MBL, and even if he ends up playing, this is probably nothing more than a publicity stunt for Shaq. That being said, it would be fun to see the Diesel lace 'em up and get out on the floor one last time before the Lakers retire his jersey on April 2.

Thu Aug 30 201220:59Lakers to retire Shaq's number on April 2
The Lakers will retire Shaquille O'Neal's number on April 2.
The team also reported that they will be unveiling Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's statue on November 16, and retiring Jamaal Wilkes' number on December 28. As far as jersey retirement ceremonies go, Shaq's is certain to draw plenty of eyeballs.

Thu May 24 201215:15Shaq says he has no interest in Magic GM job
Shaquille O'Neal said Thursday has has no interest in Orlando's vacant general manager position.
O'Neal makes sense as some kind of owner, ambassador or consultant for the Magic. He knows he's not prepared -- or willing to take on -- the massive role of GM. "When I first heard about the vacancy for the Orlando Magic general manager position, I was clearly intrigued," Shaq said in a statement. "However, this is not a job I have an interest in pursuing. I feel very fortunate to be with TNT and to have the best job in sports."

Thu May 24 201214:20Report: Magic think Shaq may help keep Dwight
The Magic believe Shaquille O'Neal's potential presence within the organization could help them retain Dwight Howard, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

Wed May 23 201219:21Report: Shaq could interview with Magic
ESPN's Chris Broussard is reporting that Shaquille O'Neal could interview with the Magic for the G.M. opening left by the departure of Otis Smith.
While it's tough to doubt Broussard, this one just doesn't feel all that realistic, especially given O'Neal's performance this year while working for Turner. But anything is possible and it wouldn't be all that surprising to see the big man at least get an interview.

Tue Sep 13 201113:29Report: Shaq to have jersey retired by Lakers
Shaquille O'Neal revealed on the Dan Patrick show Tuesday morning that Jerry Buss called him the day he retired and promised that the Lakers would retire his jersey.
Buss had been previously on the record as saying he'd retire O'Neal's number, and it sounds like he's going to make good on that promise. O'Neal was a monster during his tenure with Los Angeles before his infamous departure. No player will ever wear No. 34 for the Lakers again once it comes official.

Sun Sep 11 201115:44Shaquille O'Neal warned against Perkins trade
Shaquille O'Neal told Danny Ainge not to make the Kendrick Perkins trade at the 2010-11 trade deadline.
O'Neal told Ainge that he may not have been healthy enough to return upon Perkins' departure from the club, and that he "definitely" wasn't returning after the season. The trade continues to get criticized by Celtics fans, and the team was hurt by its lack of presence inside down the stretch of the season. Jeff Green, who was brought over from Oklahoma City for Perkins in the deal, really looked lost for most of his tenure with the team, and the move will continue to get dissected, as will Ainge's choice to pull the trigger, with the blunt honesty that O'Neal has provided in retirement.

Fri Sep 9 201110:11Shaq gets his own 900-pound bronze statue
A 900-pound bronze statue of Shaquille O'Neal dunking has been erected in front of the LSU Tigers' practice facility in Baton Rouge.
The Tigers' most famous alum was on hand for the unveiling, where he revealed that he is close to completing his doctorate (with a dissertation on "the duality of humor and aggression in leadership styles"). Shaq was recently cleared of all criminal charges in a bizarre L.A.-based lawsuit, freeing him to pursue his idiosyncratic interests.

Wed Aug 10 201113:45Criminal charges against Shaq are dismissed
A Los Angeles judge has dismissed charges that Shaquille O'Neal ordered seven gang members to kidnap and assault a record producer.
The producer, himself a convicted felon, had allegedly been blackmailing Shaq with a non-existent sex tape. The link below contains more sordid details, but the gist is that Shaq is off the hook for any criminal charges (a civil suit is still pending, but unlikely to succeed in light of this ruling).

Fri Jul 15 201119:10Lawsuit: Shaq ordered man to kill for him
TMZ has released a complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior (Civil) Court in which Plaintiff Robert Ross alleges, among other things, that Shaquille O'Neal ordered him to kill a woman that Shaq had impregnated, a gang member, and a renown record producer.
It's important to keep in mind that no criminal charges have been filed, and one would have to imagine that TNT did some background on this before signing him to a multi-year deal. However, these allegations are serious and we'll have to see how (or if) the police handle the matter and then see if the lawsuit gets past summary judgment, in which case a judge could throw it out quickly. We'd have to imagine a settlement wouldn't look great. Stay tuned.

Thu Jul 14 201110:07Shaq officially joins Turner as NBA analyst
Turner Broadcasting confirmed that Shaquille O'Neal has signed a multi-year deal to be an NBA analyst.
Shaq will be working with Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson during TNT's broadcasts. It's a perfect transition job for Shaq and confirms that he has no plans about reconsidering his retirement. O'Neal was perhaps the best quote in the league during the last 10 years.

Mon Jul 11 201109:02Report: Shaq agrees to join Turner in booth
CNBC Sports Business Analyst Darren Rovell tweeted that Shaquille O'Neal has agreed to join Turner next season.
O'Neal's on-court career may have come to an end, but he's far too marketable to simply sit at home. He's expected to sit alongside Charles Barkley in the booth, and if nothing else, that will be reason enough to watch pre-game shows next season.

Thu Jun 16 201109:27Shaquille O'Neal won't face charges
Shaquille O'Neal's name has come up in a 2008 Los Angeles street gang beating, but the future Hall of Famer is not facing charges.
In 2008, members of the Main Street Crips allegedly beat Robert Ross. Ross reportedly said he had a sex tape showing Shaq with a woman other than his wife. According to Ross, he was kidnapped at gunpoint and taken to the home of the gang's alleged leader, Ladell Rowles, where he was beaten and had $15,000 stolen from him. Police say there was a flurry of calls between Rowles and O'Neal's business partner, Mark Stevens, at the time of the incident. Regardless, O'Neal has not been charged and was not named in the criminal complaint.

Fri Jun 3 201113:52Shaq officially retires after 19 years
Shaquille O'Neal officially announced his retirement during a press conference on Friday, after 19 years in the NBA.
Shaq won four championships and averaged 23.7 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game during his Hall of Fame career. He also released rap albums, acted in a handful of movies, starred in his own TV show, volunteered as a police deputy, directed the Boston Pops, and generally made the NBA more interesting. We'd say he'll be missed, but it's unlikely he'll be out of the headlines for long.

Thu Jun 2 201109:23Shaq's rehab would have taken nine months
Shaquille O'Neal said that surgery to repair his Achilles would have resulted in nine months of rehab.
Shaq's calf was supposedly bothering him all year, but it was really the Achilles. He could not have been effective without the surgery, and holding the Celtics hostage again as he rehabs wouldn't have been fair to either party. Shaq will hold a final press conference at his home on Friday.

Wed Jun 1 201115:02Shaq finale: O'Neal records retirement video
Shaquille O'Neal posted a video online indicating his plans to retire.
In the brief video, Shaq says to the camera, "We did it. 19 years, baby. Want to thank you very much. That's why I'm telling you first, I'm about to retire. Love ya. Talk to you soon." Assuming he doesn't have a change of heart, the 39-year-old finishes his Hall of Fame career having averaged 23.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks. He posted career-lows of 9.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 37 games played for the Celtics this season.

Thu May 19 201109:25Shaq's mom thinks her son might return to C's
Shaquille O'Neal's mom said she thinks her son might return to the Celtics for the final year of his contract.
It's commonly believed that Shaq will retire this summer, but we're not so sure. He won't be motivated by his mere $1.4 million player option -- he'd be coming back to go out on a positive note. O'Neal's ego has often got the best of him and he probably still thinks he can help the Celtics. There's no timetable on a decision.
