Tue Jun 7 201104:01Walker trying to earn major league contract
Some major league teams are expected to give Tyler Walker a tryout later this week.
Ten months removed from right shoulder surgery, Walker is vying for a major league bullpen spot. Before his 2010 season was cut short by injury, Walker posted decent numbers: a 3.57 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 30 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings. If he is healthy, then it would not be surprising to see him in a major league uniform at some point this season.
