The Yankees made the move to open up a spot on the 40-man roster for Thursday's starter Brian Gordon. Sanit was recently placed on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation. The 31-year-old right-hander had a 12.86 ERA and 4/3 K/BB ratio over seven innings during his time with the Bombers this season. | ||||||

Sanit, a 31-year-old native of Cuba, has posted a rough 4.96 ERA and 1.59 WHIP across 16 1/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level. He probably won't have much success as a reliever in the major leagues. | ||||||
