Hansbrough has agreed to terms with the Hornets, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

The details have yet to be finalized, but Hansbrough will be heading to Charlotte in all likelihood. He was relatively productive when called upon last season as a member of the Raptors, averaging 8.0 PPG and 7.5 RPG over 28.1 minutes in April when the Raptors dealt with a rash of injuries. It's unclear how Hansbrough will fit into a Hornets front court that already added Spencer Hawes and Frank Kaminsky this offseason, but he can be a productive rebounding force off the bench.

Hansbrough posted 3.6 points (52% FG, 14% 3Pt, 70% FT), 3.6 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 14 minutes per game during 74 regular season games in 2014-15.

In four playoff games versus the Raptors he averaged 1.3 points (20% FG, 0% 3Pt, 75% FT), 1.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 12 minutes per game. The 29-year-old forward is an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Hansbrough will move to the bench in Friday's Game 3 against the Wizards.

Hansbrough enjoyed starts in the first two games of the series but will give way to Amir Johnson on Friday as the Raptors desperately need to tally their first playoff win. Hansbrough had an opportunity to produce well in daily contests Friday, but he disappointed in all aspects in spite of playing 27 minutes as a starter. Valanciunas is likely going to rejoin the team soon, so any short-lived fantasy hype Hansbrough may have had can be shot down after Friday's performance.

Hansbrough will get the start at center Friday.

This will be a one-time occurrence, as Jonas Valanciunas is away from the team following the birth of his son. Look for Hansbrough and Patrick Patterson to see similar minutes in the frontcourt Friday with Valanciunas off.

Hansbrough scored six points (1-2 FG, 4-4 FT) with five rebounds in just nine minutes off the bench Friday before getting ejected following an altercation with the Warriors' Festus Ezeli.

He normally sees a handful of bench minutes each night, but if he receives any additional discipline from the NBA those minutes would likely fall to Chuck Hayes while Hansbrough is suspended. Either way, he's not someone you need to worry about in most leagues.
