Sat Feb 21 201510:33Claver will be released by Nuggets
Claver will be released by the Nuggets, Marc J. Spear of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Acquired in the trade that sent Aaron Afflalo to Portland, Claver will not actually suit up for his new team. He didn't get much playing time with the Blazers this season, averaging just 7.6 minutes in 10 appearances.
Thu Feb 19 201511:41Claver acquired from Trail Blazers in trade Thursday
Claver was acquired from the Trail Blazers in a trade Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Denver will bring in Claver, Will Barton, Thomas Robinson and two picks, while sending Arron Afflalo and Alonzo Gee to Portland. The 6-9 Claver has played sparingly this season, appearing in only 10 games and averaging fewer than eight minutes in those appearances. He's just 26 years old, however, so it's possible he could emerge as a decent bench player if given the opportunity.

Claver knocked down a three pointer during his two minutes on the court against the Suns on Thursday.
Claver is rarely inserted into the game as his two minutes Thursday came in garbage time. He's currently one of the last options off the bench in Portland and should be valued as such.
Thu Feb 5 201521:48Claver active for Thursday's contest against Suns
Claver is active for Thursday's contest against the Suns.
The Blazers have activated Claver due to the lower back pain that has befallen Chris Kaman. However, even with Kaman out of the frontcourt rotation, Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson are the best bets to gather up any available minutes, while the Suns' small lineups are a better fit for Dorell Wright to see the floor than Claver.

Claver knocked down his sole shot, a three-pointer, in one minute during Saturday's loss at Milwaukee.
Even though injuries have befallen the Blazers' frontcourt the past two months, Claver has made just eight appearances during that span, marking all of his games played this season. The vast majority of those occurred in garbage time due to his status as the last man off the bench. If general manager Neil Olshey decides to make a big man addition in the coming weeks -- i.e. Jermaine O'Neal -- Claver is the likely candidate to be cut to make such a move.

Claver tallied five points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds, and one steal in 17 minutes during Friday's domination of the Sixers.
Claver entered the contest with merely four minutes of court time under his belt this season, but in a frontcourt devoid of LaMarcus Aldridge (illness), Robin Lopez (hand), and Chris Kaman (personal), the Spaniard's services were required. Both Aldridge and Kaman have a decent shot to return Sunday against the Knicks, though, which would relegate Claver to his usual towel-waving gig.
Fri Nov 28 201409:40Claver hasn't spent any time on court this season
Claver hasn't spent any time on the court this season.
Claver appears to be the last option off the bench in Portland. Unless things drastically change in the pecking order, Claver might have trouble matching the 21 games that he played in last season during the current 2014-15 campaign.
Fri May 16 201415:19Victor Claver doesn't plan on seeking buyout
Victor Claver said he doesn't plan on seeking a buyout from the Blazers.
"I have one more year on my contract and I want to play one more year," Claver said. He played a total of seven minutes in the playoffs -- all garbage time -- and rarely finds himself in the rotation while the Blazers are healthy. If he wants playing time at the NBA level, the Blazers probably aren't the best place for him.

Sun Apr 20 201412:33Victor Claver will be inactive for Game 1
Terry Stotts said that he'll likely place Victor Claver and Allen Crabbe on the inactive list for Sunday's game vs. the Rockets.
Even if these guys were in uniform, it's highly unlikely either would step on the court. These are simply emergency depth guys and they're not the type of players that have an impact on games.

Thu Feb 27 201403:02Victor Claver plays well in blowout
Victor Claver came off the bench for 13 points, five rebounds and a 3-pointer on 5-of-7 shooting in 22 minutes on Wednesday.
Claver was playing heavy minutes tonight for several reasons, including the absence of LaMarcus Aldridge and Thomas Jones, along with the fact the Blazers won 124-80 over a terrible Nets' team. We hadn't blurbed Claver since 2013 and there's a reason for it.

Sun Dec 1 201309:45Victor Claver will consider return to Europe
Blazers forward Victor Claver said that he'll consider returning to Europe if he's not earning playing time once his current NBA contract expires.
"I want to feel like I'm part of a team and that I can help the team win. For the moment, this season, I'm not doing it," Claver said. "If I'm still not playing [couple years from now], I will have to think of other options because I'm not going to be on the bench. I'm not a coach. I want to play. That's what everybody wants to do." He has yet to attempt a field goal this season, as he's buried on Terry Stotts' bench.

Tue Jul 16 201320:23Victor Claver returns to action Tuesday
Victor Claver will play on Tuesday after missing Sunday's game with a right quad contusion.
Obviously, he should be fine for the start of the real season, but he's going to struggle to see enough minutes to offer fantasy value. Ignore him on draft day.

Sun Jul 14 201318:16Victor Claver (right quad) out for Sunday
Victor Claver will not play on Sunday due to a right quad contusion.
He suffered it on Saturday night and did not return to the game. Claver said that he's feeling better, but he's not quite ready. The Blazers added a little more depth during free agency and the draft, so Claver will have an even tougher time getting consistent minutes during the regular season.

Sat Jul 13 201321:36Victor Claver leaves w/ apparent knee injury
Victor Claver has not returned to Saturday's game after apparently injuring his right knee.
He hurt himself in the first quarter and was checked out by team trainers on the bench, but he didn't leave the locker room after halftime. We should know more about his health before long, but hopefully the Blazers are just being extra cautious with their second-year forward.

Sat Apr 13 201302:02Victor Claver scores three points in return
Victor Claver (ankle) scored three points with two boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes against the Thunder on Friday.
He's going to start for Nicolas Batum, but Claver has yet to really make an impact for the Blazers in his rookie season. His upside is too low to be considered as a asset in most fantasy leagues.

Wed Apr 10 201323:44Victor Claver sprains ankle, leaves game
Victor Claver suffered a sprained left ankle in the second half of Wednesday's game and went to the locker room.
He rolled his ankle in transition and hobbled back to the locker room after calling for a sub. He was playing well with nine points, but now the Blazers will likely go with a combination of Sasha Pavlovic and Luke Babbitt to replace him.

Thu Apr 4 201301:05Victor Claver has seven pts in fill-in start
Victor Claver, starting at SF in place of Nicolas Batum (shoulder), finished Wednesday's rout with seven points and two rebounds in 26 minutes.
Nicolas Batum's shoulder injury opened up plenty of minutes, but Claver didn't do much with them. Batum is day-to-day and we'd continue to avoid Claver, even though Terry Stotts intends to use the final eight games to give his young players "more of a learning experience."

Wed Apr 3 201314:23Victor Claver to start vs. Grizlies Wednesday
Victor Claver will start in place of the injured Nicolas Batum (shoulder) on Wednesday.
Claver is coming off a solid Monday night that saw him score a career-high 12 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers. Claver will be one of three rookies starting Wednesday with Meyers Leonard again in for the injured LaMarcus Aldridge. Both Claver and Leonard should be on the radar of teams in deeper leagues.

Tue Apr 2 201300:23Victor Claver scores a career-high 12 points
Victor Claver scored a career-high 12 points to go with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers on 4-of-5 from the field.
He broke his old career best of 11 points on February 13 and the Blazers have used him as a stretch four to help replace LaMarcus Aldridge. Claver can score a little bit and he's on the radar in deep leagues while LMA is on the mend.

Thu Mar 28 201307:58Victor Claver's ankle not at full strength
Victor Claver's ankle is not yet at full strength.
Claver played on Wednesday after missing time with a sprained ankle, but the training staff noted he didn't have "a lot of strength," which should be expected. He's not worth owning in any format.
