Thu Jul 2 201519:50Martin retired from NBA on Thursday
Martin retired from the NBA on Thursday, Yahoo! Sports reports.
The first overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft has turned in a mere 61 appearances over the last three seasons, so his decision doesn't come as a shock. After stints with five organizations, Martin will conclude his career with averages of 12.3 points (on 48 percent shooting), 6.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 31 minutes.
Thu Feb 19 201522:40Martin officially waived by Bucks on Thursday
Martin was officially waived by the Bucks on Thursday, Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
Martin was expected to be waived following a trade that sent Brandon Knight to the Suns and brought Michael Carter-Williams, Miles Plumlee and Tyler Ennis to Milwaukee. The veteran is now a free agent, and will have to look elsewhere for work.
Thu Feb 19 201519:07Martin (ankle) expected to be waived by Bucks
Martin (ankle) is expected to be waived by the Bucks, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Martin missed the final five games before the break due to an ankle sprain, and after the additions of Michael Carter-Williams (toe), Tyler Ennis, and Miles Plumlee at the trade deadline, it appears that a roster spot is required for one of the trio. As a result, Martin may have logged his last minutes in the NBA.
Wed Feb 11 201519:08Martin (ankle) will not play Wednesday against Kings
Martin (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Kings, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
Martin will miss a fifth straight game, but he'll have the entire All-Star break to recover from a sprained ankle. Expect him to be back in action when the Bucks resume play on Feb. 20 against the Nuggets.
Mon Feb 9 201518:55Martin (ankle) will not play Monday against Nets
Martin (ankle) will not play Monday against the Nets, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
Martin will sit out his fourth straight game with a sprained ankle suffered Monday against Toronto. Coach Jason Kidd said Martin is improving, though the veteran could also be held out Wednesday with the All-Star break looming.
Sat Feb 7 201519:05Martin (ankle) out for Saturday's game against Celtics
Martin (ankle) is out for Saturday's game against the Celtics, FOX Sports Wisconsin reports.
Martin's injured ankle will ensure his third absence in a row, but consider him questionable in advance of Monday's contest versus the Nets.
Fri Feb 6 201518:52Martin (ankle) will not play against Rockets on Friday
Martin (ankle) will not play against the Rockets on Friday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Martin's next opportunity to get back on the court will come against the Celtics on Saturday. Until further news is released from the Bucks, the 37-year-old should be considered day-to-day moving forward.
Wed Feb 4 201513:01Martin (ankle) will not play Wednesday against Lakers
Martin (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Lakers, Greg Matzek of 620 WTMJ reports.
It's unknown when Martin sustained the ankle injury, but he'll be sidelined Wednesday, leaving the Bucks even more shorthanded, as Ersan Ilyasova and Zaza Pachulia are both unlikely to play. Consider the veteran questionable to play Friday in Houston.

Martin played a season-high 22 minutes Thursday in a win versus the Magic, but still scored just four points (2-5 FG) and had three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals.
Martin saw an expanded role with Larry Sanders (suspension), Ersan Ilyasova (groin) and Zaza Pachulia (calf) all out. He hadn't played any more than 12 minutes in a game this season, and simply isn't a fantasy option, even with all of the injuries in the Bucks frontcourt.
Tue Jan 27 201523:23Martin will sign with Bucks this week for remainder of season
Martin will sign with the Bucks this week for the remainder of the season, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
While it's a fun story that Martin is getting another shot to contribute on a potential playoff team as a 37-year-old and former running mate of coach Jason Kidd, it should be remembered that his role is very small. The 12 minutes he saw Tuesday marked a season high, so he should only be considered in very deep leagues.

Martin has signed another 10-day contract with the Bucks, the team announced on Twitter.
As long as Larry Sanders doesn't make it onto the court, it looks like Martin will have a job with the Bucks. The veteran won't get anywhere near the minutes required to make him an actual fantasy asset, but he's at least good for the Bucks as depth.

Martin's head coach Jason Kidd says he expects to sign Martin to another 10-day contract, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports reports.
In 3 games with Milwaukee so far, Martin is averaging five minutes and two points per game. While these numbers are not useful for fantasy purposes, Martin will likely be retained by Milwaukee as long as teammate Larry Sanders remains sidelined, which will last at least another 10 games.

Martin was able to play through his chest contusion injury Thursday, putting up one rebound in two minutes off the bench.
Martin has only been used for spot action in his first three games with the Bucks, and with Ersan Ilyasova back on the active roster Thursday, it made Martin an afterthought in the team's rotation. It's unclear if the Bucks plan to bring Martin back on a second ten-day deal at this point, and he isn't getting enough minutes to be of use in standard leagues.

Martin (chest) is expected to play Thursday against the Knicks in London, Charles Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Martin left Saturday's game with a chest contusion after he ran into the Bulls' Jimmy Butler, but practiced Wednesday and should be ready to go. He has a very limited role on the Bucks after only being signed about a week ago. He's appeared in two games, averaging 3.0 points, one rebound and 0.5 assists in 6.5 minutes.

Martin left Saturday's game with a chest contusion and will not return, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Martin was attempting to stop fast break when he collided with the Bulls' Jimmy Butler. The 37-year-old Martin, who came into the game averaging just 8.0 minutes per contest, ran six minutes before suffering the injury in the first half.

Martin, in his season debut for the Bucks, scored six points (3-3 FG) and grabbed two boards in his season debut Friday against the Timberwolves.
This was the first game action Martin had seen since Feb. 1 of last year, and he only saw eight minutes of game action. It's unlikely he sees that many shots in that short of a time span in the future, but with Johnny O'Bryant III playing just 12 minutes Friday, it wouldn't be unlikely to see Martin move into a starting role, especially with his friend Jason Kidd as head coach.
Fri Jan 9 201510:25Kenyon Martin: Will Be In Uniform Friday
Martin will be in uniform Friday against Minnesota, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Martin is expected to officially sign his 10-day contract with the Bucks on Friday morning before attending morning shootaround to join his new teammates. Despite just arriving with the team, Martin will likely be in line to spend some time on the court Friday since the Bucks have a finite amount of time to determine whether or not they want to sign him to another 10-day contract, sign him long-term, or simply part ways.
Thu Jan 8 201509:32Martin will sign 10-day contract with Bucks
Martin will sign a 10-day contract with the Bucks, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
Martin will provide help to a Milwaukee frontcourt that currently finds itself without Larry Sanders (personal) and Ersan Ilyasova (concussion). The former No. 1 overall pick has played 14 NBA seasons, and was most recently with the Knicks, where he averaged 4.3 points and 4.2 rebounds over 32 games in 2013-14. The 37-year-old underwent an ankle procedure over the summer, but is now expected to be fully healthy. Even at his age, Martin should be able to contribute 10-15 minutes per game until the Bucks return to full strength.
Sat Jul 12 201415:46Kenyon Martin still going through rehab
Kenyon Martin (ankle) said he's "feeling better" than he did during the season, but is still rehabbing his ankle.
He added that he wants to re-sign with the Knicks and wants to talk to president Phil Jackson. Martin had trouble staying healthy last season and his career is winding down, but the it seems like he wants to come back. He won't have any fantasy value, though.

Thu Jul 3 201409:29Knicks may still re-sign Kenyon Martin
The Knicks may reportedly try to re-sign Kenyon Martin (ankle) this summer.
The Knicks still have their $3.3 million mid-level exception they could use on the unrestricted free agent this summer. Martin underwent ankle surgery after the season, but will reportedly be ready by training camp. Martin could help fill out the Knicks' bench, but is in the twilight of his career so won't make much of an impact for fantasy owners.
