Thu Feb 16 201213:06Jermaine Taylor to work out for Clippers
Jermaine Taylor will workout for the Clippers on Friday.
It's pretty rare a player not currently in the league gets two blurbs on the same day, but that's what has happened with Taylor. With J.R. Smith reportedly "closing in" on a deal with the Knicks, the Clippers could be exploring alternative options.

Thu Feb 16 201212:21Jermaine Taylor signs D-League contract
Jermaine Taylor has signed in the D-League.
Taylor is attempting to make a comeback through the D-League, and at just 25 years old, he's got a better chance than other aging veterans who have gone through the process this season.

Sat Dec 10 201123:14Taylor fails physical, must wait to sign
SG Jermaine Taylor was poised to sign with his former Rockets squad, but he failed his physical on Saturday due to an ankle injury.
It doesn't sound like a big deal since it's being reported he'll just wait two weeks to heal up and re-sign then. Taylor has some physical upside, but the clock is starting to run out for him to prove himself. At least with the Rockets, he might find some playing time after David Stern is done gutting them.

Jermaine Taylor, who was waived by the Kings in June, has signed a one-year deal with Liaoning in China.

Sun Mar 27 201117:04Jermaine Taylor gets DNP-CD vs. Sixers
Jermaine Taylor posted a dreaded DNP-CD in Sunday's overtime win, confirming that he has fallen out of the Kings' rotation.
Taylor saw some starts in February but his value plummeted with the emergence of Marcus Thornton. It would be a stunning reversal to see him return to relevance this season.

Tue Mar 1 201102:36Taylor gets left behind by Thornton's night
Jermaine Taylor started at shooting guard and played decently in Monday's big home game against the Clippers, scoring nine points on 3-of-6 shooting (no threes) with five rebounds and two assists, but was overshadowed by Marcus Thornton's big night.
Thornton took over the game and was the MVP of the evening, with all due respect to Taylor who did what was expected of him tonight. We don't expect Paul Westphal to demote him or make wholesale changes to the minute distributions, but tonight was a huge win for Thornton in the position battle. Should Taylor have a setback or Thornton continue on his tear, it won't be long before Thornton does take his minutes. As it goes, Taylor in not a must-own player on the wrong side of this timeshare.
Fri Feb 25 201123:33Jermaine Taylor in a battle with Thornton
Jermaine Taylor started again on Friday against the Bobcats, scoring 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes.
He is locked in a battle with newcomer Marcus Thornton (25 minutes, 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting, four rebounds, three treys, one assist, one steal, one block), and right now we have Thornton as the player to own, but it's not by a whole lot. As long as Taylor can continue to have nights like these, a time-share between the two is probably in order. Like Thornton, Taylor is worth a look in standard leagues, but not a must-own player.
Wed Feb 23 201123:43Jermaine Taylor scores career-high 21 in win
Jermaine Taylor hit 9-of-12 shots for a career-high 21 points, five rebounds and a 3-pointer in another start for injured Tyreke Evans.
Taylor is a very intriguing fantasy prospect, but Marcus Thornton is on his way to Sacramento. Taylor has earned the starting job, but a slump could put Thornton in the role quickly. Both players are worth owning, but we'd be surprised if Taylor is still playing this well in a couple weeks, and prefer owning Thornton at this point.
Thu Feb 17 201101:40Jermaine Taylor starts, scores 17 in loss
Jermaine Taylor started for Tyreke Evans (foot) on Wednesday and scored a career-high 17 points to go along with three rebounds, five assists, four steals, a block and three 3-pointers in a loss to the Mavericks.
Taylor replaced Luther Head, who started the last game, in the starting five and was fantastic tonight, hitting 7-of-12 shots. He's worth keeping an eye on, just like teammate Donte Greene (16 points), but neither player will be reliable enough to use on most fantasy teams. Taylor started for Evans back in January, but had just four points in that game.
Sun Jan 9 201116:49Taylor sees rare start in place of Evans
Jermaine Taylor saw a rare start Sunday in the place of the injured Tyreke Evans (ankle).
Don't go running to the waiver wire. Taylor only managed four points and three boards. He holds no fantasy value.
Wed Dec 15 201012:20Kings trade for Jermaine Taylor
Kings acquired G Jermaine Taylor from the Rockets in exchange for a second-round pick.
This is just a salary dump by the Rockets as part of their three-team trade that brought Terrence Williams to town. Taylor is a borderline NBA prospect that won't get much burn in Sacramento.

Tue Dec 14 201019:49Jermaine Taylor to Kings for 2nd rounder
To make room for recently acquired Terrence Williams, the Rockets will trade guard Jermaine Taylor to the Kings for a future second round pick.
Taylor showed in college that he can score, and hasn't done much yet at the NBA level. He recently moved ahead of Ishmael Smith to become Kyle Lowry's backup PG, and the Kings aren't exactly loaded at that position, but Taylor still isn't likely to have a fantasy impact there.

Tue Dec 7 201009:20Taylor ahead of Ish Smith
Jermaine Taylor has moved ahead of Ish Smith in the Rockets' rotation.
When Kyle Lowry needs a break, Courtney Lee will slide over to the point and Taylor will play the two. It gives the Rockets more size and gets Lee more touches. Lowry has been playing 36 minutes a night while Aaron Brooks (ankle) has been out.

Mon Nov 8 201009:31Jermaine Taylor staying on HOU roster
Jermaine Taylor's spot on the Rockets roster is safe now that the team has decided not to sign Erick Dampier.
Taylor is clearly the low man on the totem pole in Houston and he's unlikely to crack the rotation any time soon.
Sat Oct 30 201012:07Rockets expected to waive J. Taylor
The Rockets are expected to trade or release guard Jermaine Taylor to clear a roster spot for the signing of Erick Dampier.
Taylor did not play in either of Houston's first two games this season and wasn't going to be a part of the rotation anyway.
