The Phoenix Suns traded forward Markieff Morris to the Washington Wizards for a future first-round pick along with reserve forwards Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair on Thursday, according to Yahoo Sports.Morris has been rumored to be on the move for most of this season, with the speculation intensifying once the Suns began struggling in December. He has been reportedly unhappy since last summer when the Suns dealt his twin brother, Marcus, to the Detroit Pistons. In the last game before the All-Star break against the Golden State Warriors, Morris and teammate Archie Goodwin engaged in a shouting match and shoved each other during a timeout. Earlier this season, Morris was suspended for throwing a towel at former coach Jeff Hornacek in an incident widely played nationally. He and his brother are also facing felony aggravated assault charges from an incident at a Phoenix recreation center last spring. Wed Sep 30 201516:24Blair said he shed 30 pounds over offseason
Blair said he shed 30 pounds over the offseason, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.
The Wizards' official site continues to list Blair at 270 pounds, but if the forward is being truthful about the weight loss and committed to keeping it off, it could help him from a conditioning perspective. That said, at 6-foot-7, Blair lacks ideal size in the post, so any drop in weight would likely hinder his ability to battle for rebounds on the low block. In any event, Blair is a few breaks away from cracking the Wizards' rotation, as he averaged just 6.2 minutes across 29 games last season.

Blair averaged 1.9 points (46% FG, 0% 3Pt, 67% FT), 1.9 rebounds, 0.1 assists, and 0.2 steals in six minutes per game during 29 regular season games.
Blair received a career-low in minutes per game during his first season with the Wizards. This was also the first season he's played fewer than 60 games in his six-year career. The 27-year-old power forward is on the Wizards' books for $2 million in 2015-16.

Blair is listed as a healthy inactive for Game 3 against the Raptors on Friday.
Blair is not expected to make an appearance during Washington's playoff campaign and Friday's healthy benching serves as further confirmation of his low spot on the depth chart.

Blair (personal) is yet to return to the team, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.
Blair has been away since Wednesday, and the team has not revealed what sort of personal issue he's attending to. Regardless, he's not a major part of the rotation, so Washington has not suffered greatly in his absence.

Blair (personal) won't play Friday against the Hornets.
Blair's absence Friday will be his second straight due to personal issues. However, he isn't considered a key cog in the Wizards rotation, so his absence shouldn't change much overall.

Blair (personal) is still not back with the team, J. Michael of CSN reports.
Blair missed Wednesday's game due to personal reasons, and he was not present at Friday's shootaround. The team hasn't officially ruled him out for Friday's game, but at this point it seems very unlikely that he plays.

Blair (illness) is considered questionable for Monday's game against the Hornets, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.

Blair was inactive again Wednesday against the Thunder, and has now only played in 11 total minutes in January.
Despite the Wizards trading for him this offseason, Blair just hasn't been a part of their rotations this season. He's only played double-digit minutes twice this year, and has scored just two total points this month. Barring any injuries to the Wizards' frontcourt, Blair isn't a fantasy option at this time.

Blair logged just two minutes in Sunday's 98-83 win over the Knicks.
Since returning from a one-game suspension to open the season, Blair has logged just six total minutes in the subsequent three games. He was expected to have a key role off the bench, and while that may still come to happen, Blair and fellow offseason acquisition Kris Humphries are merely lingering around the edge of Washington's rotation right now. Drew Gooden and to a lesser extent Kevin Seraphin are both getting more run off the bench.

Blair returned from suspension against the Magic on Thursday, but didn't get into the game for the Wizards.
Nene, who was also suspended for the first game of the season, started at power forward and Drew Gooden picked up most of the minutes at the position off the bench. Nene played 34 minutes in his debut, which likely won't be a consistent mark for him given his injury history. Still, owners will want to continue to monitor the minutes distribution at power forward for the Wizards.

Blair will not play in Wednesday night's opener against the Heat due to a suspension that was handed down in the preseason.
This is old news, but is worth a reminder. Blair and Nene were both suspended for leaving the bench area in a game versus the Bulls this preseason. Drew Gooden and Kris Humphries will likely split time at power forward Wednesday with Nene and Blair out.

Blair had eight points (4-8 FG, 0-3 FT), 10 rebounds, an assist, a steal, a block and three turnovers in Monday's preseason opener against the Bulls.
Blair also accumulated six fouls in his 27 minutes, as he and Kevin Seraphin got some extra playing time because Nene was held out for maintenance purposes. Blair will have to compete with Kris Humphries and Seraphin for minutes, but the bulky veteran figures to earn a decent role in the rotation, having signed a three-year, $6 million deal in the offseason. In all likelihood, Blair and Humphries will emerge as the top frontcourt options behind starters Nene and Marcin Gortat.
Thu Jul 17 201403:53DeJuan Blair sent to Wiz in sign-and-trade
The Wizards have completed a sign-and-trade deal with the Mavericks to acquire free agent F/C DeJuan Blair for the rights to 2009 second-round draft pick Emir Preldzic, the team announced Wednesday night.
The Wizards will bring in Blair on a three-year contract worth $6 million, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation. The Wizards now have big men Nene, Drew Gooden, Al Harrington, Marcin Gortat, Kris Humphries, Kevin Seraphin and Blair, meaning things will be crowded up front. But Nene and Gortat are expected to handle the bulk of the minutes.
