Sat May 28 2011 | 16:17 | Gload unlikely to go under-the-knife |
Ross Gload's hip injury is not expected to land him on the disabled list. |
According to Phillies beat writer Matt Gelb, Gload's only two real options are to play through the minor tear in his hip, or undergo season-ending surgery. Used almost exclusively as a pinch hitter, don't expect the Phillies to shut Gload down unless he's obviously encumbered at the plate. |
