The Giants are bringing in Chris Boswell to handle kicking for the final preseason game Thursday, but even though he and Brown were in competition earlier in training camp, Brown is still expected to maintain his spot atop the depth chart when the season begins Sept. 13 in Dallas.

With the Giants having waived Chris Boswell, Brown is the only kicker the team currently rosters.

In his second season with the Giants, Brown made 24-of-26 field goal attempts in 2014, en route to recording 116 points. The 36-year-old will reprise his kicking role for the team this season, though he'd need to garner added attempts in order to emerge as much more than a streaming option at kicker.

Kicker could hold value on a Jets team that will settle for plenty of field goals, but neither player is worth a draft pick before the competition is over. Brown has the more accurate leg, and is likely the favorite.
