Tue Oct 13 201502:29Wallace missed Monday's practice with knee injury
Wallace missed Monday's practice with a knee injury, though he's described as day-to-day, ESPN reports.
We may not get a true read on Wallace's status until the Vikings release an injury report after Wednesday's practice. However, the ailment sounds minor.
Mon Oct 12 201513:34Wallace did not practice Monday
Wallace did not practice Monday, but it's unclear why that was the case, 1500 ESPN Twin Cities reports.
Wallace has now missed two practices open to the media since Minnesota's Week 4 loss to the Broncos. In that game, Wallace played virtually every offensive snap for the Vikings, so it's unclear why he's been sidelined recently. Expect clarification on Wallace's situation to surface as this week unfolds.

Wallace caught a season-high eight of 10 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-20 loss at Denver.
It's somewhat surprising that Wallace had his best game of the season against a really strong secondary, and it's not like his production came in garbage time or something. On the flip side, Charles Johnson (ribs) was inactive and Jarius Wright (hand) was active, but did not receive a target, meaning Wallace had more opportunities. Make sure you have Wallace on your bench next week, as the Vikings will have their bye.

Wallace caught three of his four targets for just 49 yards in Sunday's win over the Chargers.
While the speedster led the Vikings in both yards and receptions, the defense and the running game staked them to a 31-7 lead and the passing game took a back seat. This is likely to be the case whenever the team gets ahead, as they seem content to rely on Adrian Peterson, limiting what second-year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is asked to do. Wallace could be more involved next week if the Vikings get down against the Broncos on the road, but he will also have to contend with their excellent cornerback duo of Chris Harris and Aqib Talib.

Wallace nabbed three passes for 38 yards in Sunday's win over Detroit.
Wallace leads the Vikings with 101 receiving yards through two weeks, a relatively modest sum that may be indicative of how the Vikings will operate this season. So long as Adrian Peterson is able to dominate opposing defenses, the Vikings will be a power-running team with passes coming at a premium. Wallace's fantasy owners can only hope that, with defenses stacking the box against Peterson, he may be freed up to use his great speed to go deep whenever the ball does come his way.

Wallace caught six passes (on seven targets) for 63 yards in Monday night's season opener against the 49ers.
Wallace's seven targets tied teammate Kyle Rudolph for the Vikings' lead, but his six receptions and 63 yards paced Minnesota pass-catchers. In his first game as a Viking, Wallace seemed to have a solid understanding with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, but an improved offensive performance will be of import to Minnesota in Week 2.

Wallace caught all three of his targets for 50 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys.
Previously unimpressive this preseason, Wallace caught a couple of short passes in the first quarter, then added a 39-yard gain on a perfect throw from Teddy Bridgewater. Although he didn't get much separation on the play, Wallace is still one of the fastest receivers in the NFL, and Bridgewater's deep ball is much better than Ryan Tannehill's. Of course, the Vikings have quite a few mouths to feed, with Adrian Peterson, Charles Johnson, Kyle Rudolph and Jairus Wright all expected to play key roles in the offense. Wallace shouldn't lack for snaps.

Wallace had just one reception for two yards in Saturday's preseason win over Tampa Bay.
Wallace was targeted on a potential touchdown pass in the end zone that missed its target. Wallace and Teddy Bridgewater have missed on two of three targets this preseason, but we wouldn't be too worried. Both players graded well on deep throws last season, so there's still significant potential this season.

Wallace was underthrown on his only target in Sunday's Hall of Fame Game against the Steelers.
Most of Minnesota's starters only played one series, but it did span 10 plays and 51 yards. As expected, Wallace and Charles Johnson were on the field for two-wide sets, with Jairus Wright coming on for three-wide formations.

Wallace says Minnesota's offense is a better fit for him than Miami and he's been spending extra time working with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in OTAs, ESPN reports. "I think it's more so [like] my first four years," Wallace said. "It's a vertical offense, [rather] than a short, West Coast offense. You go down the field a lot more here, more what I'm accustomed to."
There's reason to think Wallace could return to the big play production of his days in Pittsburgh where 69 percent of his touchdowns came on throws of 20 yards or more, according to Pro Football Focus. Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill was poor on deep throws last season, completing just 13 of 49 passes of 20 yards or more, according to ESPN. Meanwhile, Bridgewater had the third best quarterback rating on balls thrown 15 or more yards down field last year.
Fri Mar 13 201519:36Mike Wallace: Traded To Vikings
Wallace and a seventh-round pick were traded to the Vikings for a fifth-round pick on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Wallace will line up opposite Greg Jennings in 2015 giving the Vikings a solid one-two punch for their young quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater. Along with the duo, the Vikings have breakout receiver Charles Johnson and a strong receiving tight end in Kyle Rudolph, and possibly a returning Adrian Peterson. While Bridgewater doesn't have the arm strength to match Ryan Tannehill, he should have enough to make Wallace a threat vertically again in 2015.
Tue Mar 10 201511:00Wallace now expected to be back with Miami next season
Wallace is now expected to be back with Miami next season, according to the Miami Herald.
It seems the Dolphins are pleased with how Wallace has made amends since last season ended. He has talked and cleared the air with Ryan Tannehill, wants to return to the team, salary is in line with other receivers, and maybe most importantly of all, wasn't able to be traded.
Thu Feb 26 201514:10Wallace on trade block
Wallace is on the trade block, according to the Miami Herald.
This shouldn't come as a shock to anyone after the "he said, he said" incident that happened in the final game of last season and with Wallace being unhappy in the Miami offense. The problem however will be finding a team willing to take on a contract that is is nowhere near equal to the level of production supplied.
Thu Feb 19 201516:10The Dolphins are nearing decision on Wallace
The Dolphins are nearing a decision on Wallace, according to the Miami Herald.
When the Dolphins signed Wallace in 2013, he became the NFL's highest paid wide receiver, he currently sits in fourth place. Is he worth that amount of money? Probably not but the Dolphins are now leaning towards asking him to take a pay cut rather than cutting him.

The Dolphins could indeed move on from Wallace before free agency starts, according to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.
Wallace has had problems with quarterback Ryan Tannehill as far as the deep ball is concerned and then, depending on who you believe, may have taken himself out of the final game of the 2014 season. This is not written in stone however because if Miami were to let go of Wallace, they would really only have second year player Jarvis Landry that they could rely on and it's not like wide receiver is the only weakness on the team they would have to worry about. Miami is likely to explore a trade first but in the end, if they are tired of Wallace's act, a release is much more likely.

Dolphins will face an interesting decision this off-season as to what to do with Mike Wallace, according to the Miami Herald.
Wallace will count $12.1 million against the salary cap next season. If the Dolphins cut him prior to June 1 they would save $6.9 million of cap space ($5.2 million dead money). Wallace has never been on the same page with QB Ryan Tannehill and then was benched for the final game of the 2014 season after getting into a verbal exchange with the coaching staff. Further complicating matters for Miami is the almost certain dismissal of WRs Brian Hartine and Brandon Gibson. If the Dolphins cut all three players this would gut the receiving corps leaving second year player Jarvis Landry as the only true threat, not exactly what you want when you're still trying to figure out whether or not Tannehill can be a franchise quarterback.

Head coach Joe Philbin said Wallace (back) was benched during Sunday's game against the Jets because of a "coaching decision," according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Philbin and Wallace reportedly had an argument, which prompted the benching. Wallace needed 138 yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the first time with the Dolphins, but he put up a donut for the first time all season. Jackson also notes that Wallace is owed $9.6 million if he is not on the team next season, and would be paid $12.1 million if he is. If the two cannot co-exist, the Dolphins will likely do all they can to trade their top wideout.
Fri Dec 26 201419:43Wallace (back) listed as probable for Sunday's game against Jets
Wallace (back) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Jets, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
It looks safe to roll with Wallace (who has three TDs in his last two games) in Week 17, as he'll be going up against a Jets' defense that has allowed 30 passing touchdowns to date. Only Chicago and Washington have allowed more.
Thu Dec 25 201417:41Wallace (back) listed as full practice particiapnt Thursday
Wallace (back) was listed as a full practice particiapnt Thursday, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Wallace -- who was limited at Wednesday's practice -- is thus on track to draw a probable injury designation in advance of Sunday's game against the Jets.
Wed Dec 24 201419:00Wallace (back) limited at practice Wednesday
Wallace (back) was limited at practice Wednesday, the Dolphins' official site reports.
We'll track Wallace's status in the coming days, though at this stage there is nothing to suggest that his Week 17 availability is in any danger.
