Michigan State football player Jermaine Edmondson claimed in the police report that Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green used an open-hand slap to his face during a confrontation at an East Lansing (Mich.) restaurant.The exchange led to Green being arrested on assault charges at Conrad's Grill. The 26-year-old, whose blood alcohol content was .10, is scheduled for arraignment on July 20, according to a court document.The maximum penalty Green could face if found guilty of the assault charge is a $500 fine and/or 90 days in jail.Edmondson, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on Sunday, told police that he crossed paths with Green two nights earlier at another establishment.Green, a member of Team USA for the Rio Olympics this summer, played four seasons for Michigan State under coach Tom Izzo. Green is scheduled to attend Team USA's camp in Las Vegas July 18-21.--The Warriors re-signed free agent forward James Michael McAdoo and signed center Damian Jones to a rookie contract.McAdoo, 23, appeared in 41 regular-season games (one start) with the Warriors last season, averaging 2.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per contest. He played in eight postseason games in limited play.Jones, 21, was selected by the Warriors with the 30th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft on June 23.--The Philadelphia 76ers signed free agent guards Jerryd Bayless and Sergio Rodriguez to contracts.Terms were not disclosed, but Bayless reportedly agreed on a three-year, $27 million deal. Rodriguez, a Euroleague star, reportedly agreed to one-year contract worth $8 million.The 27-year-old Bayless was a backup for the Milwaukee Bucks for the last two seasons. He averaged 10.4 points and 3.1 assists in the 2015-16 season, shooting 44 percent from 3-point range. -- Forward James Ennis will be returning to the Memphis Grizzlies after signing a multi-year contract.Terms of the deal were not disclosed for Ennis, but it had been reported earlier that Ennis agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal. He made 10 appearances with the club last season. The 26-year-old finished up the campaign with the New Orleans Pelicans, with whom he averaged 15.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in nine games.
