Dorsey and the Nuggets reached a buyout agreement Tuesday, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.

Dorsey was acquired from Houston as part of the Ty Lawson trade, and he'll now sign overseas with a Turkish club team. The former Memphis standout has bounced around the league since being selected 22rd overall by the Blazers in 2008, spending time with the Rockets, Kings and Raptors over parts of four NBA seasons. In 2014-15, he appeared in 69 games for Houston, averaging 2.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 12.4 minutes per game.

Dorsey was traded to Denver as part of the Ty Lawson deal on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Dorsey spent the majority of his time in Houston off the bench and he'll likely welcome the move to Denver since their frontcourt has had trouble staying healthy over the last few years, giving him more opportunities off the bench since he's in line for yet another reserve role. While playing behind Kenneth Faried and Jusuf Nurkic, he'll compete for minutes with J.J. Hickson and Nikola Jokic.

Dorsey averaged 2.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.4 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 12 minutes per game through 69 games in 2014-15.

The 31-year-old Dorsey, who is under team control through 2015-16, finished his fourth NBA season with 17 spot starts in support of injuries to Dwight Howard, Donatas Motiejunas, and Terrence Jones. Dorsey shot an impressive 55% from the field in 145 attempts, but shot an abysmal 29% from the free-throw line in 83 attempts. Should players like Howard, Motiejunas, and Jones all recuperate next season, Dorsey's minutes will most likely drop along with his production.

Dorsey saw just four total minutes during the series against Dallas.

Dorsey served as a replacement for Dwight Howard during the regular season but things have gone back to normal with Dorsey spending most of his time on the bench. Unless something unfortunate happens to Howard, Dorsey isn't expected to see much of the court in the playoffs.

Dorsey will get the start against the Hornets on Monday, Jenny Dial Creech of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Dwight Howard will sit on the second night of a back-to-back set, so Dorsey moves into the starting lineup at center. He hasn't scored in double-figures all season, but he was able to haul in 11 rebounds in 32 minutes last time he started in place of Howard.

Dorsey returned to the starting lineup with Terrence Jones (lung) out, scoring just two points (1-1 FG) with three rebounds, one assist and one block in 14 minutes.

Despite his status as a starter, Dorsey doesn't have much fantasy value, as Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith will absorb the bulk of the minutes in JOnes' and Dwight Howard's (knee) absence. Deep leagues only need apply.

Dorsey could be in store for added minutes moving forward as a result of Thursday's injury to normal starter Terrence Jones (ribs). The backup Dorsey has started in place of Jones in the past so he may benefit in the potential absence of Jones in the future.

Dorsey saw the spot start against the Magic on Tuesday but that was only because Terrence Jones was being punished. As a result, Dorsey is expected to play off the bench moving forward.

Dorsey started Tuesday against Orlando and had two points (1-1 FG) and four rebounds in seven minutes in the win.

Dorsey was a starter in name only. He did not play more minutes and Terrence Jones will likely be back in the starting lineup Thursday against the Nuggets.

Dorsey will be starting in place of Terrence Jones on Tuesday, although it's still unclear if this will be a long-term manifestation. Further news should be released in due time, but as for now, Dorsey will at least see a bump in playing time against the Magic.

Despite starting at center, Dorsey has played 17 or fewer minutes in each of the past five games. His absence wouldn't impact much besides the starting lineup.

Well the production wasn't there, but neither were the minutes. Dorsey played the least out of any Rockets player who saw the floor on Wednesday. He could see more time going forward with Howard potentially having suffered a knee injury in addition to his already sprained ankle. A wait and see approach might be best in terms of deploying Dorsey into your lineup, or even adding him to your team.
