Marshall caught seven passes for 128 yards on a team-high 11 targets Sunday against the Dolphins.
Marshall beat Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes deep down the left sideline for a 58-yard gain to account for a big chunk of his yardage. He later had a pass target in the end zone, but the play was broken up, keeping him from a monster day. Playing with a big lead in the second half, the Jets were able to run the ball heavily and didn't need to lean on Marshall.

Marshall had 10 catches on 14 targets for 109 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Eagles, crossing the 10,000-yard mark for his career. However, he fumbled on an attempted lateral in the first half, which was recovered by the Eagles.
Marshall explained after the game that he was trying to make a play with the lateral attempt, but admitted it was "probably the worst play in NFL history." Nevertheless, he still had a very good game even without Eric Decker, who did not play because of a knee injury. Marshall has reached the 100-yard mark in back-to-back games -- the first Jet to do so since 2006 -- and he'll look to make it three in a row in Week 4 against the Dolphins in London.

Marshall caught seven passes (on 10 targets) for 101 yards and one touchdown in Monday night's win over Indianapolis.
Marshall took advantage of a depleted Colts' secondary, often bullying opposing defensive backs for position and providing a nice outlet for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Jets' No. 1 wideout capped his performance with a 15-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, giving him a pair of scores through the first two weeks of this season. Off to a strong start with his new squad, Marshall will hope to victimize a suspect Eagles' secondary in Week 3.

Marshall caught six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Browns.
Marshall's touchdown came on a back-shoulder fade against Browns' top cornerback Joe Haden. He also had a huge play after Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an interception. On the play, Marshall pulled the ball away from the defender for a takeaway that set up a Jets' touchdown. He led the team with nine targets, and he could've had more, but the team was winning comfortably in the second half.

Marshall is not expected to face Browns' cornerback Joe Haden exclusively in Week 1.
Browns' defensive coordinator Jim O'Neil is on record saying that Marshall will be covered by Haden 'some', but 'a lot of our guys will get a chance to go against him'. Fantasy owners who were concerned that Haden might shut Marshall down, should feel better about the overall matchup with this news.

Marshall will be used both as an outside receiver and in the slot this season, the New York Daily News reports.
Marshall lined up all over the formation in the preseason as well. New offensive coordinator Chan Gailey will look to get his top receiver plenty of opportunities with favorable matchups. Marshall won't be seeing a steady dose of any one particular cornerback in most of his games, enhancing his overall fantasy value.

Marshall caught three passes for 33 yards Saturday against the Giants.
Marshall led the Jets with five targets, the second week in a row he's led the team in that category. In what should be be a short-passing offense, he'll likely soak up plenty of targets throughout the season. As long as he stays healthy, he's set up for a solid fantasy season in new offensive coordinator Chan Gailey's spread system.

Marshall caught one pass for 12 yards in Thursday's preseason opener against the Lions.
Marshall's grab, which came off a slant pattern, occurred on QB Ryan Fitzpatrick's first pass of the game. With Geno Smith out 6-10 weeks, the Marshall/Fitzpatrick duo will look to gain on-field chemistry in the coming days/weeks. Now healthy after being slowed by injuries last season while with the Bears, Marshall appears poised to bounced back in 2015, though he'll hard pressed to match the production (a combined 218 catches) that he enjoyed during his first two seasons (2012-13) with Chicago.

Marshall (toe) did not participate in team drills Thursday, Seth Walder of the New York Daily News reports.
Marshall was removed from Wednesday's session with a sore toe, and it appears he's still bothered by the issue. However, the fact that he's present at Thursday's practice is an indication that the ailment isn't overly serious, so Marshall shouldn't be hampered by the time training camp rolls around.

Marshall (ribs) was removed from Wednesday's practice due to a "sore toe," Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.
Marshall pulled up on a route during drills as a result of the ailment, which will likely hold him out of the last day of the Jets' mandatory minicamp Thursday. With more than a month and a half to prepare for training camp, though, he has plenty of time to achieve full health and run with the first-team offense right off the bat. Although he must gain a rapport with Geno Smith, he's only one year removed from back-to-back campaigns with at least 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns, making him an interesting fantasy piece opposite Eric Decker.

Marshall's reworked deal with the Jets includes an additional $1.3 million in full guarantees, ESPN.com reports.
Marshall, who was slated to earn up to $7.7 million this coming season, is now in line line to receive a fully guaranteed base salary of $9 million for 2015. The 31-year-olds wideout, who was acquired from the Bears in March trade, is coming off a 2014 season in which he caught 61 passes for 721 yards and eight TDs for the Bears. With the Jets, Marshall is in line to start at wideout opposite Eric Decker, with Jeremy Kerley working in the slot and speedy rookie Devin Smith also in the mix as a potential deep threat for the team.
Tue Mar 10 201517:32Marshall's trade to Jets confirmed on Tuesday
Marshall's trade to the Jets was confirmed on Tuesday.
Per the report, the Bears will receive a fifth-round draft pick from Jets in exchange for Marshall and a seventh-round draft choice. The limited return that the Bears will realize with the trade would appear to confirm the notion that the team views the wideout's departure as an addition-by-subtraction type of scenario, but from the Jets perspective, the 30-year-old Marshall -- who caught 100 passes as recently as 2013 -- gives his new team a major boost in the pass-catching department. With Percy Harvin having been released by the Jets, Marshall and Eric Decker now head the team's receiving corps heading into the 2015 season.
Fri Mar 6 201511:15Brandon Marshall: Traded To Jets
The Bears agreed to trade Marshall (ribs) to the Jets on Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
A physical is still needed to complete the trade, and while Marshall finished last season on injured reserve due to a collapsed lung and broken ribs, it probably won't be much of an issue. Soon to be 31 years old, the 6-4 wideout joins a roster that already includes Eric Decker and Percy Harvin, though the latter may not be long for the team. While it's fair to wonder about competition for targets, the far bigger issue is the Jets' lack of a proven quarterback. For all his struggles, Jay Cutler has always been able to help his receivers to strong numbers, and he was known to be one of Marshall's closest friends. This seems like a negative for Marshall's fantasy prospects, but the Jets may address their quarterback situation this offseason. Back in Chicago, there should be even more targets to go around for the already-busy trio of Alshon Jeffery, Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte. Of course, the Bears may be in the process of moving on from Cutler, and Friday's trade of his good friend seemingly points in that direction.
Thu Mar 5 201513:32The Bears are reportedly considering trading Marshall (ribs)
The Bears are reportedly considering trading Marshall (ribs), the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The notion that the team appears prepared to move on from Marshall, who signed an extension with the Bears last May, is echoed by NFL.com, though it's unclear if the team would be of a mind to release the wideout if a trade doesn't happen. Marshall is coming off an injury-marred 2014 season, in which he recorded 61 catches for 721 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games, with the report suggesting that the team's possible inclination to part ways with the wideout is motivated more by team chemistry considerations than finances.
Mon Dec 8 201416:05Marshall placed on IR by Bears
Marshall, who sustained a collapsed lung and fractured ribs this past Thursday against the Cowboys, has been placed on IR by the Bears, ESPN.com reports.
In a corresponding move, the Bears promoted fellow wideout Josh Bellamy from their practice squad. With Marshall out for the season, ESPN.com suggests that Marquess Wilson will likely start in his place opposite Alshon Jeffery, with Josh Morgan on track to handle the team's slot duties.
Fri Dec 5 201416:46Brandon Marshall: (Ribs/Lung) Season Over
Marshall will miss the rest of the season due to broken ribs and a collapsed lung, NFL.com reports.
The broken ribs made Marshall doubtful for the rest of the year, and the collapsed lung settles the matter entirely. Marshall had a disappointing season, mostly due to injury, finishing with just 721 yards and eight touchdowns on 61 catches. Alshon Jeffery, Martellus Bennett and Marquess Wilson.
Fri Dec 5 201411:26Brandon Marshall: (Ribs) Could Be Done For Season
Marshall may be out for the rest of the season after suffering what the Bears believe could be several fractured ribs, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports. The wide receiver's spleen is also being examined.
Marshall was taken from the stadium in an ambulance and remained at the hospital Friday to have his internal organs examined. The results of those tests are not yet available, but Rapoport's source believes the injuries could be season-ending. This would obviously be a disappointing end to a frustrating season for Marshall, and fantasy owners will likely have to turn elsewhere for the rest of the fantasy playoffs.
Thu Dec 4 201422:07Brandon Marshall: (Ribs) Leaves Stadium In Ambulance
Marshall left Solider Field in an ambulance after suffering a rib injury during Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.
Marshall looked conscious and alert in the back of the ambulance, but he may need to be checked for internal injuries, after taking a hard shot to the ribs during the second quarter of Thursday's game. Marshall finished the contest with three receptions for 61 yards, and his absence will leave Marquess Wilson and Josh Morgan to handle expanded roles.
Thu Dec 4 201421:32Brandon Marshall: Exits With Injured Ribs, Return Questionable
Marshall left Thursday's game against the Cowboys in the second quarter with a rib injury, and he is questionable to return to the contest, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Marshall got off to a fast start, catching three balls for 61 yards by the six-minute mark of the second quarter. The third of those receptions converted a 4th-and-7, but Marshall took a hard shot to the torso on the play. He was down on the field for a couple of minutes, and then hobbled off to the locker room. If Marshall is unable to return, Marquess Wilson and Josh Morgan will likely take on expanded roles in the offense, with Wilson the best bet to get snaps in two-wide formations.

Marshall (ankle) made six catches among 11 targets on his way to 42 yards in Thursday's loss at Detroit.
Marshall's YPC has decreased in four consecutive games, from 14.0 in Week 10 to 7.0 on Thursday. Week 10 doubles as the game in which he injured his ankle, and while his production didn't fall off in the first two contests -- 15 combined receptions for 202 yards and three touchdowns -- Marshall managed just nine catches for 72 yards without passing the goal line over the past two tilts. No matter, the veteran wideout has displayed an ability to bounce back, which he'll attempt to accomplish next Thursday against a Cowboys defense that had yielded 13.0 YPC and seven touchdowns to wide receivers entering Week 13.
