In two starts for Boston, he went 0-2 with a 12.96 ERA. With a day off coming, Boston will be able to skip Kendrick's next turn and adjust its rotation.

RHP Kyle Kendrick was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket to start Thursday's series finale against the Orioles. The 32-year-old veteran's return to the majors did not go as planned, as he surrendered six runs on eight hits and two walks with a strikeout in four innings. It was his first major league start since Oct. 2, 2015, with the Rockies. "All I can do is get ready for my next start, throw well in the next one and this one's forgotten about," said Kendrick, whose ERA sits at 13.50.

Kendrick (7-13) pitched well on Friday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out six in a win over the Giants.
This is a nice bright spot in what's been a terrible season for the veteran. Kendrick has allowed 33 home runs this season and he's simply not cut to pitch in Coors Field. He now has a 6.32 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in 142.1 innings this season.

Kendrick was tagged for six runs on five hits and three walks over five innings in a no-decision Saturday against the Dodgers.
It was another wretched outing for Kendrick, who served up his MLB-leading 33rd home run in the contest. Kendrick has been able to eat 136.1 innings for the Rockies this season, but he's taken it on the chin nearly every time he's toed the rubber. With a 6.54 ERA and 1.54 WHIP on the season, it's difficult to imagine Kendrick receiving anything more than a minor-league contract when he becomes a free agent this winter.

Kendrick (6-13) surrendered six runs on six hits and a walk over four innings to take the loss Sunday against the Padres.
Kendrick served up a season-high four homers, vaulting him ahead of the Cubs' Dan Haren and Diamondbacks' Rubby De La Rosa for the MLB lead with 32 long balls allowed. Given that the Rockies have been out of playoff contention for a while along with the fact that Kendrick is slated to become a free agent this offseason, it's surprising he's still a member of the rotation at this point. Perhaps this latest blowup will finally result in manager Walt Weiss making a change.

Kendrick (6-12) recorded the win Sunday against the Mariners after giving up two runs on three hits and two walks over five innings.
For the third straight start since returning from injury, Kendrick was held to a 75-pitch count, a limit that should remain in place for the rest of the season now that rosters have expanded. Kendrick has produced better results since his return from the DL, but with his ERA still sitting at 6.15, those in NL-only formats may be reluctant to rely on him.

Kendrick won his fifth game Monday against the Padres as he allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out four.
Kendrick managed to survive his five innings and get the win, and he was mercifully pulled after just 75 pitches as he continues to work his way back from an injury. Kendrick induced just three swinging strikes and was in jam after jam, and his ERA still sits at 6.25.

Kendrick allowed one run on three hits and two walks over four innings in his return to the rotation, a no decision Monday against the Diamondbacks. He struck out two.
Kendrick threw just 72 pitches in his first start since July 31. He's looking to prove he's healthy heading into free agency, but he's been brutal this year, with a 4-12 record and a 6.29 ERA. The Rockies are just looking for him to eat some innings.

Kendrick (shoulder) was officially reinstated from the DL on Tuesday, and he'll start against the Diamondbacks.
As expected, Kendrick will return to the rotation after throwing a bullpen session over the weekend without issue. This might not exactly be great news for fantasy players, as Kendrick is just 4-12 with a paltry 6.43 ERA on the year.

Kendrick (shoulder) is scheduled to return from the disabled list Tuesday to start one game of the Rockies' doubleheader versus the Diamondbacks, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Kendrick was expected to make a minor-league rehab start before rejoining the Colorado rotation, but after a 30-pitch bullpen session Saturday went swimmingly, the club opted to revise their plans. Despite the fact that he's now healthy, Kendrick has been poisonous for fantasy owners -- even those in NL-only leagues -- all season, providing a 4-12 record to go along with an abysmal 6.43 ERA.

Colorado Rockies pitcher Kyle Kendrick is expected to be activated from the disabled list and start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday after recovering from a shoulder injury, according to the Denver Post. Kendrick (shoulder) will make a rehab start in the minors as the next step in his recovery from injury, the Associated Press reports.
Kendrick, who has been on the DL since Aug. 1 with right shoulder inflammation, threw a 45-pitch simulated game Tuesday. While he could find his way back to the big league rotation before season's end, his 6.43 ERA should be enough to keep owners away in most formats.
Sat Aug 22 201521:52Kendrick (shoulder) will pitch in upcoming simulated game
Kendrick (shoulder) will pitch in an upcoming simulated game, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
After receiving an anti-inflammatory injection to start the month of August, Kendrick is now set to begin rehab work on the mound. Thought to return sometime towards the end of August, it appears as if Kendrick might need additional time before returning to the Rockies. While the Mile High rotation has been anything but stellar for the majority of the season, Kendrick's return to the majors could be prolonged if the Rockies decide to give additional starts to their young arms.

Kendrick (shoulder) will receive an anti-inflammatory injection Wednesday, and he hopes to return by the end of the month, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Kendrick has inflammation in his rotator cuff, which was confirmed by an MRI earlier in the week. While it's a relief that the rotator cuff is not torn, Kendrick is still likely to miss around four weeks of action.
Sat Aug 1 201517:28Kendrick placed on disabled list Saturday
Kendrick, who left Friday's game with right shoulder inflammation, was placed on the disabled list Saturday, Patrick Saunder of the Denver Post reports.
Kendrick is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday, which should provide a clearer timetable for recovery. Talks of a torn rotator cuff have surfaced, which could potentially end his season if substantiated. His status remains in limbo at this point, but the Rockies should provide more information when the receive the results of Monday's MRI.
