Updating a previous item, the players' union has not filed a grievance against the Phillies on behalf of Michael Schwimer.
CSN Philly incorrectly reported that Schwimer filed a grievance for the salary he would have made when he was went to the minors while injured. However, according to beat writer Jim Salisbury, the MLBPA is investigating the matter, and no determination has been made. Schwimer, 26, is now completely healthy and on the Phillies' 40-man roster.

According to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com, the players' union has filed a grievance against the Phillies on behalf of Michael Schwimer.
Schwimer believes he was sent to the minors this past season while injured and apparently wants to be compensated for the salary he would have made if he was on the disabled list at the major league level. The 26-year-old right-hander is healthy now and on the Phillies' 40-man roster.

Schwimer is trying to fight the transaction, claiming that he was injured and should have been placed on the 15-day disabled list. "He's not in Lehigh Valley, but we don't plan on taking any action," GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said Monday. "I really can't comment on anything else."
