Tue May 21 201308:57Daequan Cook not expected back with Bulls
Daequan Cook is not expected to return to the Bulls next season.
It's hardly a surprise. Cook was largely glued to the bench since he signed with the Bulls and was never going to be there beyond this season. Cook joins Nate Robinson, Richard Hamilton and Marco Belinelli as Bulls players who aren't expected to return next year. Chicago will have to remake its bench again for the second straight offseason.

Sun Mar 24 201321:40Daequan Cook (thigh) active for Sunday's win
Daequan Cook (bruised thigh) was able to play vs. Minnesota on Sunday, notching two points in 15 reserve minutes.
Cook doesn't play nearly enough to have fantasy relevance, at least not while Kirk Hinrich and Nate Robinson are both healthy. Almost 60 percent of his shots this season have been 3-pointers, which pretty well sums up his role in Chicago's offense.

Sat Mar 23 201322:49Daequan Cook leaves w/ bruised left thigh
Daequan Cook did not return to Saturday's game after bruising his left thigh.
Cook's absence has no practical implication in fantasy leagues, though he did finish Saturday's game with a surprising nine points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 17 minutes. Marquis Teague went scoreless in eight minutes and Nate Robinson had nine points and five rebounds in 20 minutes, but both guys will see a few extra minutes if Cook misses any games.

Fri Feb 8 201301:14Daequan Cook scores season-high 19 points
Daequan Cook scored a season-high 19 points with four 3-pointers against the Nuggets on Thursday.
He got the bulk of Marco Belinelli's minutes in the loss and he could be in line for more time as long as Bello is out. However, Bello's ankle injury isn't serious and we'd leave Cook on the wire even in the deepest of leagues.

Fri Jan 4 201317:08Daequan Cook likely to sign with Bulls
Recently released Daequan Cook is expected to sign with the Bulls.
Cook and his $3.1 million salary cleared waivers at 5 p.m. ET on Friday after the Rockets dumped him Tuesday. Now he's an unrestricted free agent. Cook would be a situational three-point specialist on the Bulls.

Tue Jan 1 201312:16Daequan Cook waived by Rockets
Rockets waive G/F Daequan Cook.
Cook was released to make room for newly-signed James Anderson. He could latch on with another NBA team but he has no fantasy relevance.

Sat Dec 8 201207:11Cook scores eight points on Friday
Daequan Cook scored eight points on 3-of-9 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds and one steal in 11 minutes off the bench on Friday.
We never updated Cook after his big game two Wednesdays back, and as you can see he hasn't made much noise since then.

Thu Nov 29 201200:18Daequan Cook plays well in start for Parsons
Daequan Cook started in place of Chandler Parsons on Wednesday and had his best game in a long time, finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, a steal, a block and three 3-pointers on 7-of-17 shooting in 38 minutes.
This was tough to see coming and he had scored a total of 24 points on the season coming into this one. We didn't even know he could play small forward and he was helped by the fact Carlos Delfino is out with a groin injury. Unless Parsons' injury turns out to be serious, it's hard to imagine Cook being worth a pick up in any fantasy leagues.

Wed Nov 28 201219:31Daequan Cook gets the start on Wednesday.
Daequan Cook will get the start in place of the injured Chandler Parsons (right shoulder) against the Thunder on Wednesday.
James Harden will likely have to slide over to the three and have the unenviable task of guarding Kevin Durant. The Rockets will have to collectively fill the massive void left by Parsons being out. Cook is not a fantasy option while Marcus Morris and Terrence Jones figure to play more tonight.

Sat Oct 27 201223:50Rockets acquire Daequan Cook on Saturday
The Rockets acquired Daequan Cook as part of their trade for James Harden.
Cook will earn $3.1 million in the final year of his contract this season, so he should be motivated to prove his worth. He brings fiesty defense and adequate 3-point shooting to the Rockets' bench, but little else.

Wed Apr 25 201208:23Daequan Cook not yet 100 percent healthy
Daequan Cook (knee) admitted that he's not 100 percent healthy.
Cook's role in the rotation has been inconsistent of late, but he got hot on Tuesday and scored 19 points with four treys. He admitted that he's "not fully healed," nor did he give a percentage as to how strong his knee was. Regardless, he's playing through it and should continue to do so moving forward.

Tue Apr 24 201223:37Daequan Cook heats up in win over Kings
Daequan Cook played just 21 minutes, but hit four 3-pointers on his way to 19 points, five rebounds and an assist on 6-of-11 shooting in Tuesday's win.
Cook and Derek Fisher saw more run tonight with James Harden out with a concussion, and both guys might be worth a look for Wednesday's finale against Denver, as Harden's not expected to play in that one, either.

Sat Apr 14 201202:06Cook scores 13 points off the bench
Daequan Cook scored 13 points off the bench on Friday against the Kings, hitting 4-of-11 shots (including three treys) with three rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes.
Keeping in mind the Kings' defense was awful tonight, Cook was the clear winner between he and Thabo Sefolosha (three points, four boards, 23 minutes) tonight. James Harden (knee) is day-to-day.

Tue Apr 3 201207:47Daequan Cook to be eased back into mix
Scott Brooks said that Daequan Cook (knee) would be eased back into the rotation.
Brooks did the same thing with Thabo Sefolosha when the veteran was returning from his foot injury, so this isn't a surprise. Cook was available to play on Monday, but he didn't get into the game. The three-point threat will have a greatly reduced role now that Sefolosha is fully healthy.

Mon Apr 2 201218:44Daequan Cook available Monday
Daequan Cook (knee) is available to play in Monday's game against the Grizzlies.
Cook is over his sprained MCL, but will have a marginal role now that Thabo Sefolosha (foot) is back to 100 percent.

Tue Mar 27 201215:12Daequan Cook gets shots up
Daequan Cook (knee) shot for the first time Tuesday morning.
Cook is still at least 7-10 day away from action after spraining his MCL a week ago. He'll struggle for a role now that Thabo Sefolosha (foot) is healthy.

Wed Mar 21 201223:04Daequan Cook (MCL sprain) to miss 2-3 weeks
Daequan Cook is expected to miss 2-3 weeks after sustaining a "mild" MCL sprain on Tuesday night.
Cook is averaging 5.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 22 games this season, and is shooting 34 percent from downtown. But his role has been diminishing over the last month, and with the arrival of Derek Fisher, that trend would only have continued.

Wed Mar 21 201207:18Daequan Cook facing serious knee injury?
Daequan Cook could not put any weight on his knee after spraining it in Tuesday's 97-90 loss and will be reevaluated on Wednesday.
Beat writer Darnell Mayberry said that it "didn't look good," and that he would be surprised if Cook played again in March. It looked bad when Cook went down and we'll likely get official word on his diagnosis at some point on Wednesday. There is no fantasy value here.

Wed Mar 21 201201:57Daequan Cook leaves with sprained ankle
Daequan Cook had to be helped off the court on Tuesday after spraining his left ankle.
It looks like a severe sprain, but with Russell Westbrook and Thabo Sefolosha healthy, and the possible arrival of Derek Fisher, Cook had no fantasy value even if healthy.
