Wed Aug 12 201521:06Oden has signed with Jiangu Dragons of China
Oden has signed with the Jiangu Dragons of China, RealGM reports.
Oden's NBA career has been plagued with constant injuries, and it looks as if no team in the league thought he was worth the risk. If he can at least stay somewhat healthy, Oden will likely be able to make a larger impact overseas than he ever has in the NBA. However, it appears as though Oden's time as an NBA is over.

Fri Jul 25 201412:40Heat still non-committal on Greg Oden
The Heat are still non-committal on bringing back Greg Oden.
"They said they'll get back to us," Oden's agent Mike Conley Sr. said. "A couple of teams have inquired. He wants to be able to play." It's not going to be easy for Oden to get minutes after not being able to play for more than 15 minutes in any game last season.

Tue Jun 17 201416:26Greg Oden uncertain to re-sign with Heat
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra isn't sure whether Greg Oden will re-sign with Miami as an unrestricted free agent this summer, but Spoelstra "loved" having him on the team.
"[Oden] was one of the biggest success stories in the regular season and postseason," Spoelstra said. "I loved having Greg around. I loved seeing him go through the process of putting himself back out there. He made incredible strides." Oden plans to play in the NBA next season but it remains to be seen whether he'll wear a Heat uniform -- he appeared in only 23 regular season games and three playoff games, and shouldn't be drafted in fantasy leagues no matter where he's playing.

Sun Jun 15 201414:18Greg Oden to work out in Ohio this summer
Greg Oden will return to Columbus, Ohio to work out this summer, in anticipation of earning another NBA contract next season.
Oden has been inactive for the bulk of the playoffs, after appearing in only 23 regular season games, and he even admitted recently that he's "one of the biggest [draft] busts in NBA history." The 26-year-old has enough talent that he'll probably land a short-term deal for a minimal amount of money, but fantasy owners should give him a wide berth on draft day.

Wed Jun 11 201417:40Greg Oden wants to play next season
Greg Oden said on Wednesday that he's "sure" he'll be playing next season.
"Yeah, I'm sure I'm playing again next year but honestly I haven't even gave it much thought," Oden said. "I'm trying to concentrate on this and getting this ring first and after that, that's part of the thought process. My body feels good. I can still play. I'll be alright." He will be an unrestricted free agent after this season and teams aren't going to beat his door down for a multiple-year deal.

Tue Jun 3 201416:34Greg Oden ready to play if needed in Finals
Greg Oden (knees, back) said that he'll be ready to play if called upon by coach Erik Spoelstra.
Oden's lone appearance during the playoffs was a four-minute stint during Friday's lopsided Game 6 victory vs. the Pacers. It's encouraging to know that the 26-year-old is healthy enough to play, but it's highly unlikely he'll rejoin the rotation vs. San Antonio.

Sat May 24 201423:45Greg Oden active, doesn't play in Game 3
Greg Oden was available for Saturday's Game 3 loss, but never got off the bench.
With Chris Bosh playing poorly throughout the playoffs, the Heat could use Oden. However, whether his knees will allow him to play any time soon remains to be seen.

Sat May 24 201419:01Greg Oden expected to be active on Saturday
Greg Oden, who has yet to play in the playoffs, is expected to be activated for Saturday's Game 3 against the Pacers.
It's not official, but it does sound like Oden will play tonight. While the Heat will say he wasn't brought in to battle with Roy Hibbert, it's hard to deny they could use him in this series. However, given the state of Oden's body and knees, it would be surprising to see him get more than 10 minutes tonight, if he plays.

Sat May 24 201412:14Oden could play in Game 3
Miami center Greg Oden, who hasn't played at all during the Heat's latest playoff run, could play in Game 3 on Saturday night.
Erik Spoelstra told the media that the "game will dictate" whether or not Oden sees minutes against the Pacers. Although Oden's chances of playing are limited, he could provide some size in spurts if the Heat are in a jam.

Fri May 23 201413:06Heat could use Greg Oden in Game 3
Coach Erik Spoelstra said Greg Oden had a great week of work and will consider using the center in Game 3.
Oden's downfall this season after playing Roy Hibbert and the Pacers back on Mar. 26, so the odds are against him to be in the lineup at all in Game 3. At best, he probably won't be on the court for more than 10-12 minutes.

Sun May 18 201420:32Greg Oden to be re-evaluated later this week
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra suggested that a lack of conditioning was responsible for Greg Oden's inactivity during Sunday's Game 1 loss to the Pacers.
"After the back [spasms], he's been working really to get back out on the court," Spoelstra said, referring to Oden's injury from late in the regular season. "I want him to have a couple more very tough workouts this week, and we'll evaluate him at the end of the week." It sounds as though Oden will miss at least two more games before potentially returning as a counter-weight to Roy Hibbert, who racked up 19 points and nine rebounds in Game 1.

Fri May 9 201413:52Greg Oden (knee, back) says he's a bust
Greg Oden said he's one of the biggest busts in NBA history.
"I'm one of the biggest busts in NBA history and I know that it'll only get worse as Kevin Durant continues doing big things," Oden said. "I wish the circumstances would let me play more, but I certainly don't regret coming back, and I don't regret signing with the Heat." It's great that Oden is back on an NBA team, but he's probably the biggest bust ever at this point.

Fri May 9 201410:22Greg Oden has played zero minutes in playoffs
Greg Oden has played zero minutes during the playoffs.
Oden is technically healthy, but he's a shell of his former self after battling injuries for four seasons. In a best-case scenario, the Heat will unleash him for a few minutes as a "secret weapon" against the big-bodied Pacers or Wizards in the Conference Finals.

Thu Apr 17 201400:43Greg Oden plays 14 minutes in finale
Greg Oden played 14 minutes in Wednesday's finale and had two points and five rebounds.
Coach Erik Spoelstra hasn't ruled out starting Oden in playoffs, but says it depends on who they're playing. LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Chris Andersen all took Wednesday off, but it looks like the Heat will be at full strength when they take on the Bobcats in Round 1 of the playoffs.

Wed Apr 16 201411:19Greg Oden (illness, back) could return Wed.
Greg Oden (stomach virus, back) is listed as a game-time decision on Wednesday.
He hasn't played since March 26 and isn't likely to play more than a handful of minutes, but his return would be a welcome sight for the Heat as they prepare for a first-round matchup vs. either the Wizards or Bobcats.

Mon Apr 14 201412:08Greg Oden (illness) out again vs. Washington

Sat Apr 12 201418:17Greg Oden sidelined with stomach virus
Greg Oden didn't travel with the Heat for Saturday's game due to a stomach illness.
Oden was already unlikely to play again this season because of a back injury, so his illness is a mere blip on the radar. It's unclear how much he'll be able to give the Heat in the playoffs, but they'd probably settle for a handful of minutes in key matchups.

Thu Apr 10 201413:21Greg Oden unlikely to play this season
Greg Oden (back) is unlikely to play again this season, according to Heat beat writer Brian Windhorst.
"I don't think Greg Oden is going to play the rest of the seaosn to be honest," Windhorst said. "I think Roy Hibbert broke him." Oden's last game came against the Pacers back Mar. 26 and he hasn't even really been close to playing in a game since. The Heat were without Chris Andersen (knee) and Udonis Haslem (illness) Wednesday night against the Grizzlies, which may have been a big reason why they lost.

Wed Apr 9 201418:51Greg Oden is out again for Wednesday
Greg Oden (back) will not play against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
The Heat have an empty frontcourt with Oden, Chris Andersen and Udonis Haslem all out, which is good news for the Memphis frontcourt. Oden has no timetable to return.
