Davis underwent surgery on his left ankle Wednesday to repair ligaments and remove a cyst and bone spurs, the LA Times reports.

After injuring his ankle during game six of the Clipper's series with the San Antonio Spurs, Davis decided to have his ankle repaired and plans on being ready to play in December. Davis still hasn't been signed to a team but has interest from both the Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks.

Davis averaged 4.0 points (46% FG, 0% 3Pt, 63% FT), 2.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 12 minutes per game during 74 regular season games in 2014-15.

In 14 playoff games, Davis scored 2.9 points (45% FG, 0% 3Pt, 78% FT) to go along with 1.9 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 10 minutes per game. The 29-year-old power forward is an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Davis said he's ankle is fully healed in advance of Thursday's Game 6. "I'm feeling better," Davis said. "I feel 100 percent, finally. Look forward to getting out there and bringing some energy."

Davis suffered a low ankle sprain back in Game 6 of the Clippers' first round series against the Spurs, but he has not missed any time and continues to play spot minutes off the bench. For the series, Davis is averaging 2.4 points and 0.8 rebounds in 9.2 minutes. He'll likely continue to play a minimal role, as Spencer Hawes has emerged as the primary backup to DeAndre Jordan.

Davis (ankle) played his usual bench role Saturday, scoring six points (3-5 FG) with three rebounds and two blocks in 11 minutes in Game 7 on Saturday.

Davis is Doc Rivers' preferred big man option off the bench, with Spencer Hawes not seeing the court in Game 7 at all, but his production doesn't make him much of a viable option for postseason fantasy formats.

Davis was expected to make his 2014-15 debut Wednesday night, but he'll sit at least one more game due to the groin injury he suffered during the preseason. He should suit up Saturday against the Trail Blazers, but isn't likely to see a high volume of playing time in a crowded frontcourt.
