Mon Aug 9 201018:26As put OF Matt Watson on the DL
Athletics placed OF Matt Watson on the 15-day disabled list with kidney stones.
The 32-year-old rookie was a nice story, but Watson doesn't really have the power, speed or defensive ability to stick in a regular role in the major leagues and is therefore not relevant in fantasy leagues. Now he gets to deal with painful kidney stones.

Athletics purchased the contract of OF Matt Watson from Triple-A Sacramento.
Here's a real blast from the past. Watson hasn't appeared in the major leagues since he batted .188 (9-for-48) with the A's in 2005. Since then, he has been sold to the Chiba Lotte Marines and played minor league ball with the Blue Jays and Mets. The 31-year-old outfielder was batting .313/.358/.600 with eight homers and 23 RBI over his first 115 at-bats with Triple-A Sacramento this season.
