Tue Sep 1 201516:09Pridie called up from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday
Pridie was called up from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old journeyman sure enjoyed his first season in the Pacific Coast League, slashing .310/.380/.515 with a career-high 20 homers and 89 RBI in 127 games with the Sounds. Pridie, a second-round pick in 2002, has had very little success at the major league level to this point, and the A's don't have much reason to give him a look as he's likely not a part of their long-term plans.
Tue Dec 16 201420:32Pridie signed deal with SK Wyverns of Korea on Monday
Pridie signed a deal with the SK Wyverns of Korea on Monday, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports.
A second-round pick in 2002, Pridie has appeared in just 15 games at the major league level over the past three seasons, including two in 2014. He's just a .225/.298/.364 career hitter at the major league level, but the 31-year-old Pridie will look to recoup some value overseas before perhaps looking to return to American baseball in 2016.
Sun Aug 10 201414:10Pridie accepted outright assignment to Triple-A Colorado Springs...
Pridie accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday, Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com reports.
Pridie appeared in two games earlier this past week with the Rockies as temporarily roster filler, but at 30 years old, he was never viewed as a viable part of the organization's long-term plans. He'll function as a depth player at Colorado Springs, where he was slashing .274/.340/.425 over 339 at-bats.

The Rockies designated Pridie for assignment Wednesday.
Pridie's tenure on the 40-man roster lasted all of four days, as the team bumped him Wednesday to clear a spot for Jordan Lyles (hand), who was on the 60-day DL. Now 30, Pridie has hit .275/.341/.426 in 87 games with Triple-A Colorado Springs this season and doesn't figure to draw much interest while on waivers.
Sat Aug 2 201416:10Pridie called up by Rockies on Saturday
Pridie was called up by the Rockies on Saturday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
The move may portend Carlos Gonzalez's (ankle) placement on the disabled list, after missing his fourth game in the last 10 on Saturday. While the aforementioned transaction hasn't come to pass, Pridie will nonetheless provide depth to the Rockies' outfield. In 87 games at Triple-A Colorado Springs this season, he's slashed .275/.341/.426 with 10 homers and 22 stolen bases (in 28 attempts) across 338 at-bats.
