He was part of a trade on Thursday that included Randy Foye, D.J. Augustin and two second-round draft picks.During 10 years in the NBA, Novak has played for New York, the Los Angeles Clippers, Houston, Toronto, San Antonio, Utah, Dallas and Oklahoma City. He holds career averages of 4.7 points and 1.3 rebounds.

F Steve Novak and G D.J. Augustin, along with two-second round picks, were acquired by the Denver Nuggets from the Oklahoma City Thunder for G Randy Foye on Thursday. Novak appeared in only seven games for Oklahoma City this season.

Novak was traded to the Thunder in February and averaged just 1.2 points in 13 appearances for the team this season.

Novak's NBA calling card in undoubtedly his lethal long range shooting, but until the journeyman can get off the end of the Thunder's bench, his fantasy value is incredibly minimal.

Novak (appendix) sat Wednesday's game against the Clippers in spite of his availability.

It's unclear if this was just a simple coach's decision, or if he was still not feeling 100 percent. Regardless, whenever he does return, it's not likely that he'll provide much fantasy value.

Novak (appendix) could take the court Wednesday against the Clippers, The Oklahoman reports.

During the last week of February, Novak required an appendectomy, but his return is nigh. With Kevin Durant (foot) out of commission, Novak could make an appearance, but note that he's only played in one game since joining the Thunder at the trade deadline.

Novak needs an appendectomy and will miss a couple weeks, The Oklahoman's Anthony Slater reports.

The Thunder have so much depth after their deadline moves that Novak was never likely to establish a significant role in the rotation. Look for Anthony Morrow and Kyle Singler to absorb any minutes that would have gone to Novak over the next couple weeks.

Novak will be available for Saturday's game against the Hornets, The Oklahoman's Anthony Slater reports.

Novak wasn't much of a fantasy option before the trade, and that remains very much the case. For those in very deep leagues, Novak's ability from three-point range is worth keeping him on watch lists, as he hit eight three pointers over 24 minutes in his last two games with Utah. However, the fact that he was seeing just 12 minutes in those games is more relevant to his overall potential.

Novak was dealt to Oklahoma City on Thursday, Jody Gennesy of the Deseret News reports.

Novak is essentially a throw-in in a deal that brings Kendrick Perkins to Utah and Enes Kanter to Oklahoma City. Perkins will be bought out in short-order, while it's unclear what the future holds for Novak, who's playing sparingly this season.

Novak only played 10 total minutes during the month of January.

The veteran is stuck on a team that is trying to progress the talent of its younger players. This dynamic doesn't leave any time for Novak on the court, thus denoting his limited value.

Novak is obviously stuck on the bench and there's nothing to suggest that his situation will change in the future. As is stands, Novak is hardly an option across all formats.

Novak is averaging just 4.7 minutes on the court over 14 appearances this season.

Novak was brought to Utah more for his veteran leadership than for his actual abilities on the court. Sure he's a clutch shooter from beyond the arc, but that's about all he brings to the table at 30-years-old. Barring multiple injuries to the Jazz, Novak won't likely see significant time on the court at any point this season.

Novak has been used sparingly off the bench over 12 appearances this season at just 4.5 minutes per game.

Novak has continually watched Joe Ingles and Rodney Hood get called into action more often than himself this season. When considering that those two players see limited time as it is, there's hardly any minutes left over for the aging sharp-shooter.
